Create

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well.  I've had more time in my craft room recently and have another card to show this evening.

This design features a beautiful lady stamp from Impression Obsession that I bought while in the Netherlands in the Spring.   I could not resist buying the stamp as there were gorgeous samples on display, created by Miranda.  However it's taken me until now to actually use the stamp as I didn't get into my craft room much during the Spring and Summer.

The background is the new Blueprint and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks with water on a Acrylic sheet (yes I use this technique a lot).    I partially stamped with IO's Cover a Card stamps and then spritzed a little water to let the inks run a little.  Gone are the days when I worked hard to create perfect images with the large background stamps.

Miranda's ladies had colourful hair which I thought were great fun & wanted to do something similiar.  I used Tombow markers direct to the stamp and a navy pigment pen for the eyes.   After it was stamped I added a little water with a brush to the hair for the 'water colour' effect.  I left the rest but darkened her eyes with the pen and added 'eye shadow' with a Tom bow marker.

The metal flowers have been hanging about in my stash for a while, I added dew drops to the centres.

Impression Obsession stamps:  Elsie, CAC Rose Lace, CAC Fluff.
Chocolate Baroque stamp:  Artistic Expressions (Create)

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the week.
Shirley

Think the hair looks great this way! A fun modern girl! It almost looks strange to use a BG-stamp fully nowadays... Your BG looks so good again! Enjoy your week!

Blue hair works well for me Shirley and compliments the stronger colours of the super background.

ohhhhhh! LOVE LOVE LOVE how you innovatively brought out your blue lady's personality through color and texture, Shirley! It's wonderful, and so happy! I am in the process of using stamps which are virginal, too! LOL Stamps that sometimes are way older than yours from your recent trip! LOL Hope all is well and that you are enjoying the seasonal change. hugs, de

Hi teamie, a wonderful blue lady here, you've given her a beautiful background with the Rose Lace stamp from IO, great work....and of course thanks for mentioning me! I realized I did not post any of the girl faces yet....will do that after the workshops are finished this year....there are coming a lot more faces in the 'SHE' workshop. hugs to a wonderful lady, Miranda

Interesting how you used Tombow markers to colour the stamp first, an unusual and new technique to me. Great result, love her blue hair.

At first I thought this was another brusho background, but of course read it was the superb (in your hands) acrylic smooshing of DInks. Great color combo with this pairing too. Thanks for the tip about the large bkground stamps, as I have a ton of these, and sometimes, it's aggravating to get a crisp image. Will remember the spritz 'fix' next time (I hope). You're sharing some truly gorgeous works of art. Thanks.
