Friendship

Good evening everyone !   I hope you've had a great week.    I had so much fun with my Sister who left this morning.    It's hard to say goodbye but we had a wonderful visit.    Another Sister who lives in Amsterdam will fly over next month so I have that visit to look forward to :)

I'm a little tired today but was 'itchy' to create something.   I pulled out my Dylusions Inks again (still experimenting) and created this card using stamps from Designs by Ryn.   I'm enjoying using the vibrant spray inks & stencils which create a different 'look' for me :)

Designs by Ryn Stamps used:  CMF15 Leafy Branch & CMB5 Tsuki .

The background was created with Turquoise, Lime & Grape Dylusions Ink on Watercolour paper.   I used the Mini Chicken Wire Stencil from Crafters Workshop.

I stamped Leafy Branch several times with Black Ink and then highlighted the leaves with Mustard Seed and Picket Fence Distress Markers.   Picket Fence appears to be illuminating, it's great.

The Moth (Tsuki) was stamped on watercolour paper, embossed in black and coloured with my Tom Bow markers.  I cut him out and adhered to the background.   The 'Friendship' image is from the great Fiskers set "Friends Forever Quotes".   I use this set frequently, it's a great value which I purchased at Crop Circles in Peterborough (for those that live in this area).   I used Picked Raspberry Distress Ink around the Friendship image.

Well that's all for this evening !   Thanks for your visit and enjoy the rest of your week.

Designs by Ryn meets Dylusions Inks

Hello crafty people !  I hope you are having a great week.

I'm still having fun experimenting with the vibrant Dylusions Inks, but gosh your hands become an inky mess :)  I should find some surgical gloves to use with them.    I decided to use Design by Ryn's stamps together with these spray inks for this card design.

Ryn is a talented Canadian Artist and her unique stamp designs are hand drawn.  Her rubber stamps are high quality &  deeply etched which allows them to be applied to a variety of surfaces.    If you haven't had a chance to check out Ryn's stamp designs, please visit her website at  Designs by Ryn .   She ships overseas and south of the Canadian Border :)   You can also find her on Facebook - Designs by Ryn

I used the following two Designs by Ryn stamps for this card:   CM-T7 Circle Custer Set & CM-F3 Black-eye Susan.   She has many wonderful textured stamp designs that make great backgrounds.

The background was created with the Blue & Lime Dylusions Inks (one of my favorite colour combos).     After drying the ink I used the 'Ghost' technique with Crafters Market - Reversed Mini Ringlet template on the top half.     When dry, I stamped the Cluster Set with Salty Ocean Distress Ink.

Oh yes of coarse I bought some templates which are great to use with spray inks.     I was inspired to purchase the Ringlet template after seeing Marja, talented artist & card designer at  Marja's Stamp Addiction , use it in one of her beautiful designs.

The Quote is from the Fiskers- Friends Forever Quotes, a wonderful clear set that I bought at Crop Circles.

The Black-eye Susan's were stamped on watercolour paper and embossed with black.  I coloured with Tombows:  126, 133, 452, 535 - which are obviously not 'true' Black-eye Susan colours, or they would be called something else such as 'Blue-eyed' Susan's :)  I carefully cut them out and mounted onto the background.

Life's Truest Happiness

Hello Crafters !

We enjoyed our long weekend, the weather has been so beautiful.   It seems like late June with tempatures in the high 20's & sunny.     Our perennials are 3 weeks ahead of 'schedule'.

I'm posting another card that I created using a texture stamp from Designs by Ryn .   These texture stamps are great for creating backgrounds.   I used Design by Ryn's Circle Cluster Set CM-T7.

I'm entering this card into For Your Inspiration Photo Challege #30.   The DT & participants create wonderful designs if you have a chance to visit their blog.    The Inspiration photo is at the bottom of this post.

The background was created using the Acrylic Block technique with Distress Inks.  (Wild Honey & Crushed Olive).  The colour in the photo is a little off from the original, it doesn't have 'muddy' colours.      I stamped the large Cluster Image with Memento Cocoa Dye Ink and a few of the single circles with Gold Pigment Ink (hard to see in the photo).    The sentiment is from a great set by Fiskers - Friends Forever Quotes also stamped with the Cocoa Ink.   I added a little sheer brown/gold ribbon along with a circle charm I had in my stash.   An easy card !

FYI # 30 Inspiration Photo
The above sunset photo is gorgeous & reminds me of being at the Naples Pier in Florida.   We've enjoyed watching sunsets there.    I thought the colours on the card reflected a sunset.   I don't own any palm tree stamps but with a little imagination maybe the circles can be tops of palm trees !

Thanks for stopping by & have a great week!
