Hello everyone, I hope your week is going well.
Chocolate Baroque recently launched their Summer Fairy Collection, what a gorgeous set of stamps. I have a design today using the beautiful July Fairy.
I created the background with White, Midnight & Teal Dyulsions inks. I stamped flowers from the beautiful Sunny Sunflower set (that go very well with the Summer Fairies) with Olive and Magenta Hue Archival inks. I highlighted the centers with a white pen.
I stamped the July Fairy with Black Archival ink and coloured with Inktense pencils. I added lots of glitter to her wings and dress. The sentiment is from Fairyland Words.
The die cut flowers are Crealie - CLCF22 which I sponged Distress Inks to colour. I added dark rhinestones to the centres and the little spray die cuts from Memory Box - Flutter Vine.
Here is a look at the complete Summer Fairy Collection, sold individually or as a multi-buy set. For a limited time when you order the collection you will receive a FREE Inspiration Leaflet (printable download) of 'never been seen' designs & instructions by the Design Team.
Well that's all for now thanks for visiting and your kind comments. Enjoy the rest of your week,
Shirley

The Key to Change
Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well. Spring arrived here for about 5 days and now we are into hot Summer weather. Southern Ontario's extreme weather, you 'gotta love it'. It's actually too warm this afternoon to work outside as my blood is still thick from the very cold winter.
I'm concerned about some of our shrubs, they suffered with the extreme cold & ice and are struggling to 'come back'. I'm giving them time to come to life, as there are some leaves just not all over like they should be.
I'm still very busy and struggle to keep up but eventually life will calm down again. I apologize that I've been slow visiting blogs. I'm also not finding enough time for crafting. There is a wonderful challenge blog that I like to participate in called Art Journal Journey. I love May's theme which is "circles". I've started a page but May will be over before I get it finished it seems.
I have a card to show today that I created a little while ago using Design by Ryn stamps. I like this quote, it's so true. This is big a change from my greens, blues and yellows :).
I used red & orange Dylusions Inks in the background. I stamped Ryn's Sea Bubbles with red and purple inks. I also used bubble wrap with white acrylic paints for texture. Next I splattered black Dylusions inks over the background.
The Spiral Shells were embossed with black, coloured with Dylusions Inks, and cut out to adhere to the background. The quote is from Impression Obsession: C13072 Key to Change.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day,
Shirley

Pretty Flowers by Chocolate Baroque
Happy Weekend everyone, I hope you are doing well. We've enjoyed a cool but sunny day today. We've been working hard all week to catch up with the garden and lawn work.
I have a card to show this evening that I created a while ago featuring beautiful stamps from Chocolate Baroque.
The background for the above card was created with Dylusions inks (Midnight, Teal & White) All the stamping was done with black Archival ink. I used a couple of stencils with Ocean Distress Ink over top.
I coloured the flower from Pretty Poppies with Prisma Pencils and highlighted with a white Gellyroll pen. The top corners are from Poppy Meadow and the bottom from Fancy Flourishes. The sentiment is from Mackintosh Sentiments.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the weekend,
Cheers, Shirley

Wanda the Angel Fish
Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well. Spring has has finally arrived, it's wonderful but I continue to be extremely busy trying to catch up in the gardens. Life is super busy these days and I don't have the time to craft as much as I would like or visit blogs as often. Eventually things will calm down.
I have a sea scene today using stamps by Designs by Ryn.
The background is Dylusions Inks. I stamped Spiral Shell with Salty Ocean Distress ink, but it's hard to see. I embossed Sea Bubbles with gold and School of Fish and Rising Bubbles were stamped with Cobalt Archival ink. Wanda the Angel Fish was also stamped with the Cobalt ink, coloured with Tombow markers, highlighted with a white Gellyroll pen, decoupaged and attached.
Thanks for your visit and enjoy your day,
Shirley

Evening Stroll
Hello everyone I hope you are doing well.
I have another design today using the beautiful new Fabulous Flappers set from Chocolate Baroque.
I started with a piece of mixed media paper and adhered a die cut clock (Marianne Design) with a Gel medium and then brushed Gesso over everything. When dry I painted a few colours of Acrylic glaze over top and spritzed with water to blend and added the painted die cut hands to the clock. I used the top of a tree from Patchwork Landscape around the outside edge.
The pretty lady was stamped with Cobalt Archival ink, coloured with Intense pencils, cut out and popped up on the background. I added lots of glitter around her shawl's trim, a little difficult to see in the photos.
Thanks for your visit and have a great day,
Shirley

Nouveau Peacocks
Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well. The weather has warmed up a little allowing us to work outside, we are weeks behind, so keeping very busy.
If you like Nouveau designs you will love Chocolate Baroque's gorgeous new Fleur Nouveau and Nouveau Lovebirds stamp sets. My card today features a beautiful Peacock design from Fleur Nouveau again using a favorite colour combination :)
The background is a 'mop up' sheet with Dylusions inks with Gold Glimmermist sprayed over top. I added pattern using TCW Peacock Feathers stencil and Distress inks. The top corners from Poppy Meadow and the Bubbles from Decorative Edges were stamped with Mowed Lawn Distress Inks. The beautiful Peacocks were tamped with Cobalt Archival ink and coloured with Prisma pencils. I added glitter and half pearls as well.

Koi Fish by Designs by Ryn
Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well and enjoyed your weekend.
I have a card today that features fabulous stamps by Designs by Ryn.
The background is Dylusions inks, I started with yellow in the centre and sprayed the green & blue around it. I spritz water over top, let it blend and then blot off with a paper towel roll. I also splattered a little water and blotted with a paper towel. Next I blended a little Salty Ocean DI over a couple of TCW stencils - Fish Scale & Coral.
Next I stamped with Ryn's Fish Scales and part of Rising Bubbles with Salty Ocean Distress ink. The Koi Fish and Spiral Branch were stamped with black Archival ink and highlighted with Gelly Roll Pens. I coloured the fish with Dylusions inks (on my craft mat with water & brush).
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Make a Wish
Hello everyone, I hope your week is going well. We've had some nasty weather, heavy rains & winds, the tail end of the terrible storms south of us. I am so far behind in gardening, hopefully I will get caught up at some point. We are also experiencing Internet troubles, it's not so easy to leave comments lately. Life in general is quite busy as well, I'm sorry if I can't get around to your blogs as much as I would like to.
Chocolate Baroque has launched more new gorgeous stamp sets. One of them, Fabulous Flappers features beautiful ladies that I couldn't wait to try out. I have two designs today in similar colours.
The background is Cut Grass Dylusions and Gold Glimmermist (hard to see the glimmer in the photo). I used TCW Echoes stencil with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink and stamped a rose from Mackintosh Windows with Olive Archival ink. The beautiful sentiment is from Loving Sentiments. I stamped the pretty lady from Fabulous Flappers on separate mixed media cardstock, coloured with Intense pencils and decoupaged over the background. I tucked in a feather and added glitter.
The card above background was created with Mustard Seed Distress Ink using an acrylic block. I added the feather design using TCW Peacock Feathers stencil with Mustard Seed and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. I used Black Archival ink for the stamping over the background. The deco corner is from Steampunk Butterfly and the pretty lady from Fabulous Flappers was coloured with Prismas.
Thanks for your visit and have a great day,
Shirley
