Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well. Thanks for all your kind words regarding my previous post, it's very much appreciated. I think some people think I'm not going to blog anymore, but I will be and here I am back already! But somehow I need to figure out a way to spend less time at my computer :)
I have a design today that was started while I was on vacation. The main image was created with Design by Ryn's Japanese Anemone stencil.
The background was created with Brushos ink powders. Next I used light molding paste over the stencil and let it dry. When dry I rubbed some Inka Gold wax over top of the flower. I rubbed Distress Ink over a TCW stencil for the words. No stamping on this design !
Thanks for your visit and have a great day,
Shirleyxx

This is so lovely and soft. You use such interesting techniques and colours to get this beautiful result.
Great to see you back - even although you have not been away!
WOW do I ever Love this color combination and the addition of the stenciled flowers is very beautiful. It must be a fun card to touch in person as well.
Balance is such a tricky thing ... isn't it.
Happy Springtime dear Shirley

Hey Shirley, I think it's neat to see a creation with no stamping. The Japanese Anemone turned out so beautifully. I love how subtle this piece is in colouring and concept. It definitely has a focal point, but it's not a 'loud' one. Gorgeous!!!
Gorgeous colours and textures Shirley, think you know I am a Brusho fan. Nice to see you are still here with us in blagland.

I'll bet this looks really textured IRL, Shirley! Your Brusho background is marvelous and I love the LOVE stenciled in your design!! Glad you're back already and good luck finding the balance. I'm trying to work on that, too! Enjoy your day! Hugs, Darnell

So glad you are still blogging. You made a beautiful card. I love Ryn's stamps and stencils. It's also pretty cool she lives close by, eh?

Beautiful colours! As always a lovely card Shirley! Xx
Stunning Shirley fabulous colours! huggles Sue xxx
I've already commented here, I know, but I would like to react to what you said on my blog (you have a bo-reply blogger account, so no other way to contact you), I also like one-layer cards... but I prefer to work on a seperate piece of cardstock, because I like to get messy as well. It was challenging not to get any ink on the card itself :) (at the back for instance)
I love those colours Shirley, and that gorgeous stencil by Ryn with the dimensional paste and gold wax over it looks fantastic. So pretty! x
Wie schön, liebe Shirley.
Ich freue mich so sehr, etwas von dir zu sehen... :-)

Wow! Beyond beautiful for sure, Miss Shirley! I love the way the flower stands out, and your magical background is so rich! xo
I love this Shirley and saved to CAS. I love the colors in your BG and the stenciled image is fabulous. Really pretty!! I hear you on the computer thing!!!! Me too....
Oh, this is so beautiful, the lovely colored background (love Brusho !) and the flowers on top, wonderful ! Greetings Enny
Beautifully artistic piece, Shirley! Hope you'll share if you figure out how to get away from the computer more--LOL! I'm really glad I got my laptop a few years ago so I can leave comments while I'm in the room with hubby "watching" a movie or whatever. I struggle with wanting to just create something, but friendships rely on communication which is done with comments. Happy problem, compared to most!
