Colorful Snowflakes

Hello everyone !

I'm back again with two more Christmas designs, the last ones for this month.   I've had a great time working with Chocolate Baroque's new Christmas stamps and happy that I've made a solid start on Christmas cards for this year.   It's never to early to start !

I used one of the new Big Bold Background stamps - Solid Snowflakes to create these cards.

I used Fruitcake Kaleidacolour Dye Ink on the background for the above card.    I used a brayer to apply the rainbow ink to get even coverage.   Next I added Versamark Ink directly from the pad over the entire background and embossed with a clear holograph Embossing Powder.   You can see the sparkle on the close-up at the top of this post.    Noel is a single clear stamp - CBCL0020 Noel.     I added rhinestones to the centres of the snowflakes.

This next card was quicker to create as I didn't need a brayer to ink up the stamp.

I used both Evergreen Bough and Pine Needles Distress Inks on the background stamp, which gives the variation in colour.   I stamped the sentiment from Warm Christmas Greetings with Crimson Red Versafine Ink.   I added sparkly rhinestones to the centres of the snowflakes.

I'll be back soon with card designs using new releases from Chocolate Baroque that celebrate another season :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day !
Shirley

Two fantastic cards Shirley, I love the top one with the multi colours and sparkly embossing, and the colour of the second. Just started my cards using these stamps at the weekend.

Hope the rain did your garden some good.

I had to smile over your use of "Fruit Cake" - so apt & utterly effective with the holographic shine. Your mattting skills using colour have come into their own with this one. Needless to say the first is my favourite of the two.

You are right, this is the time to make (and put in an envelope and address) Christmas cards! I like both, if I had to choose I would have the second one.

Shirley, your snowflake Christmas cards are so wonderfully magical! I know a snowfall does not look that pretty, so that is why I used the word magical. WONDERFUL colors with the holographic EP, and very pretty theme with the Pine colored background, too. Very pretty cards! hugs, de

Each card is equally striking. I'm liking this CB stamp and you've really shown it off so marvelously. That's a new color of the Kaleidescope pads for me...will have to check on this one! TFS

What fabulous cards....absolutely love the colours and stamps. I've studied the first card, but still can't see how you've done it.....Did you stamp the snowflakes before you inked or after? xx
