Christmas Angels

Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the weekend.

Chocolate Baroque has launched some exciting new Christmas Designs!   Yes it seems like Christmas is a long ways off, but personally I like to get started on my holiday cards early.

Along with a many new beautiful Big Bold Background stamps, a gorgeous new set - Gothic Angels has been launched.  It's a great partner with Gothic Fragments which I've used in many of my designs for this month.   I have lots to show in August and today I have two cards and small gift tags using designs from Gothic Angels.

The background for the above card is created with Blue & Teal Dylusions Inks.  I've over stamped with a Fragment and Window from Gothic Fragments.  I coloured the window a little with Prisma Pencils.  I embossed the window/wheel fragment from Steampunk Butterfly with silver around the edges.    I also embossed the Angel with Silver, coloured with Tombow markers and decoupaged her over the background.  Yuletide Greetings is from Gothic Angels.

And here is my 2nd design with the same beautiful Angel.

Again Dylusions inks (blue & purple) were used in the background.  I also used TCW mini Solace Stencil and stamped a fragment from Gothic Fragments (hard to see in photo).    The collage of beautiful background images stamped in black are from Gothic Angels.  I embossed the edges of the background with silver.   The angel is also embossed with Silver and coloured with my Tombow markers. I had some pretty borders of pearls & rhinestones in my stash to finish off this design.

Here is a look at the Gothic Angels rubber stamp set which is on a special introductory offer for the month of August:
I also made up some quick gift tags using the smaller images from the above set.

I used Cherry Pie & Grape Soda Dylusions on the backgrounds, stamped with black ink and highlighted with a white Gel Pen.   I coloured a little on the Angel as I was 'testing' my new Inktense Pencils, they are going to be great fun :)

I've rotated & enlarged the photo here

My talented team mates at the Chocolate Baroque Design Team have lots to show this month as well, if you get a chance please drop by the CB Blog.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day,
Shirley

WOW stunning cards and tags Shirley, I really can't make up my mind which one is my favorite. These new Gothic Christmas stamps are certainly a perfect partner for the Gothic Fragments. I have ordered my stamps along with some of the cover a card stamps, waiting very impaitently for them to arrive now.

Hope you are having a great weekend, can't believe how fastthis year is flying by.

The decoupage of the angel on the first gives a super effect & really brings her into prominence beautifully & I love the way you incorporated the Gothic Fragments & Steampunk Butterfly elements. The rhinestone & pearl borders in the second combined with the textual background stamping as well as the elements of TCW 'Solace' provide a lovely vintage sense.
Your tags are quite incredible - it's your use of the white which is so striking & I love the softness of the blue on the angel's dress.
Chrismas is definitely going to be looming very quickly. We'll blink & it will be here!

Whoa! What amazing Christmas cards, Shirley! I'm blown away that you used your fabulous, brilliantly-colored backgrounds and provided the "feel" you needed for this heralding angel - quiet and religious, yet colorful and heavenly. The embossing powder and bling look remarkable in contrast - truly beautiful, Shirley. And your incredible Christmas tags are beautiful! Love the white opaque details on them. Thank you for always revealing something new through your techniques and product uses. hugs, de

Great projects Shirley, I love the intensity of those blue backgrounds, they really are lovely. The use of the gothic fragments works so well and I really like how your two colourways feel so different. Your set of tags is so pretty, very festive and the white highlights are very effective. Gracious, now that I've got my mouth closed back again from dropping open at these beautiful cards & tags, I must say these are drop-down stunning. All of them. I especially like religious themed Christmas cards, and your angels & gothic window were just the perfect thing. Enjoyed reading the spray colors (you can bet I'll be experimenting). Loved the added touches around the edges, and that was some beautiful bling border. I am finding the white Inktense pencil works better on the sprayed pieces than does Prisma white. Thanks for sharing these...they are awesome. Love those CB stamps. Hugs
