Blog Break

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well and enjoying the summer.    Just a reminder of my earlier post that I'm on a Blog Break as we have moved into a new home.  I would like to thank my kind blog friends for all your wonderful words of support.  It has been an emotional roller coaster ride and we have been quite tired at times.   While we have some adjusting, we are happy with our new smaller, cozy home.  I'm excited about the new adventure :)

My craft stash is in boxes so I will not be creating for a while as we unpack and create new gardens.   My craft 'studio' needs new tables, my husband will build shelving into the closet (I am lucky he is good at that) and the room needs to be painted before I can unpack and set up - I can't wait.

I could not believe how many boxes were required to pack my craft 'stash'.  I wondered how I had it all organized and tucked away.   Seriously, it makes me think about how much do I really need?  I had purged, gave away stamps and other goodies to friends and charity but still so much left.   I feel grateful but I also question myself.  Do you feel that way at times?

We had to leave our massive gardens behind but we will be creating small ones and will start digging and hauling soil soon.   We have the challenge of gardening on a slight slope and making sure water drains away properly.   We moved a lot of plants from this garden below:

Take good care everyone and enjoy being creative,
Shirleyx

Sound like a lot of work. Take care of yourself. Yes, I know that feeling about having too much stash, and just now I am also de-stashing, hard, but necessary! Hugs, Valerie

I'm excited for you to have this new adventure, Shirley, and can't wait to see your new gardens! I'm just sure they will be magazine-worthy, just like you created in this photo. What a blessing to have your talent for both card art and garden art! I wish you both all the best!! Hugs, Darnell

Liebe Shirley,
Lass dir Zeit, dich neu einzurichten.
Wir laufen dir ja nicht weg :-)

Umarmung und herzliche Grüße
Sophie xx

Sorry I have missed things Shirley, I did do a quick pop round when we got home from hols but having read this post fully see why you need a blog break.

Take care and good luck in your new home. And look forward to seeing your inky makes once you get unpacked and sorted.

Glad your move has finally happened and you can start making your new home your own. It sounds exciting to be able to plan your new craft room too. It will be such a treat when you get to the point of getting that all unpacked and organised. Maybe a job for the winter? I know exactly what you mean about having too much stuff. Even after having a sort out last year I still have far too much! Don't work too hard, remember to keep your batteries recharged and we will look forward to your creations when you are back in the groove! Take care, love Elaine xx

Hi Shirley. So glad the move is over and you can start making it your own. In a few months time you will have everything more as you would like it. I know you probably want things to be right asap but do take care of yourselves. I swear my crafting stash breeds in the cupboards..lol., and I do try to be restrained, and sometimes it works! Anyway we all look forward to having you and your gorgeous creations back on here. In the meantime take care. x

Glad to hear the move went well. As far as I'm concerned, you can never have too much stash, but then you've seen mine, haven't you. Hope you're settling in well.

With you on the crafty stash Shirley, some of the things I bought when first starting on the craft journey are now really hideous and just gathering dust. I too am in the process of clearing house (not moving yet) but getting ready so that when the time comes it wont be a lengthy process.

I too can't wait to see the garden and craft room. The energy that you and your husband must have is amazing. Take care sweets.

Warm crafty hugs from Shirl x x x

Hello Shirley, hope all is going well. Are your cats settling in in the new place - that is very important!
As to art supplies, no I don't feel in the least worried at the quantity I have, art is what I am doing just now and I need all the help I can get!
