Happy Weekend everyone !
I have a card to show this evening but will start with announcing the winner of my Blog Candy. I used Random Org, numbers 1 - 56 and the number that came up was 17. The 17th comment was from Ros C. Congratulations Ros! The package will be flying all the way to Australia! I will contact you to get your information.
I appreciate everyone's kind support & comments, you make blogging so much fun.
I used a large background & sentiment stamps by Chocolate Baroque for the card below. After I spent some relaxing time colouring the background with Prisma Pencils I had to decide what I was going to with it. I really didn't want to cover much up but I love this beautiful sentiment and added it.
I stamped Big Bold Background - Wildflower with brown dye ink on a mauve tone sheet of Basic Grey paper. However I've covered the ink by colouring with the Prisma Pencils which I love using. I added highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen. "Make a Wish" is from Loving Sentiments. I added stickles to the body of the die cut butterflies.
Dies: Spellbinder Labels 4 (S4-190) and Cheery Lyn Designs Small Butterfly DL112
Here's a look at the Big Bold Background - Wildflower stamp:
Have a Beautiful Day and Congratulations again to Ros !

Gorgeous gorgeous background highlighted with a beautiful sentiment. Congrats to Ros!
Congrats to the winner!! Card is gorgeous, gorgeous, and gorgeous as always Shirley the colours are stunning huggles Sue xx
I was very surprised to read that you'd stamped this onto Basic Grey patterned paper. The Prisma Pencils colouring always fascinates me & I do like the way you combined the colours of the die-cut butterflies' wings & bodies to reflect the colours of the background. The white gel pen highlights are echoed beautifully by your matting & the white die-cut sentiment panel edging.
Congratulations to Ros too.

What a wonderful and elegant card! Wonderful flowers and harmonious colouring! I like it!
Lovely mix of colours...a strong card with lovely stamping and butterflies Shirley :-)
Totally stunning card Shirley, so beautifully coloured and finished to perfection! Such a gorgeous stamp!!
I love the colours you have used Shirley, so rich and intense, the Prisma pencils give a great effect. The deep turquoise backing card and backing to the mount with the butterflies in the same colour looks fabulous, and love the pink behind the sentiment, and the sheer pastel green ribbon goes beautifully. Well done to Ros, and congrats again to you Shirley, and hope you are having a good weekend. x
Wow again Shirley! What a beautiful background, the stamp is lovely but the colours you chose and your careful colouring make it superb! Love the sentiment in front of the flowers too. Big hugs! xx

So very pretty Shirley with such smashing color combination. But I have to tell you - not near as pretty as your smile!

That's a very interesting technique, stamping with brown ink on mauve paper then colouring in with coloured pencils. That must have been really good fun, and yes, relaxing. I can see why you didn't want to cover it up and the butterflies, sentiment and ribbon are just right.
Your stamping on this pretty dp is just so gorgeous, loved the coloring you achieved with the prisma pencils (but then you always do! Rich & elegant, and enhances the already pretty dp). I can see why you didn't want to cover it up. The dies were great on this bkground, as it didn't cover up a lot of it. Those open patterned butterflies added such lightness, they looked ready to fly right off the card. The sheer ribbon also created a feel of airiness. Congratulations to Ros for her lovely win also. Now I'm off to enjoy the next card I'm seeing peeking through the comment page! TFS & Hugs Hope you are feeling fine & dandy.
Beautiful stunning card....congrats to my
Aussie 'friend' who won the candy..I am sure she will love it...not many of us Aussies that I know of are blogging...thanks for your so kind words on my darling dad. Yes it is sadness I feel each time I visit him and each day is a bonus. He is a wonderful man with lots of stories to tell even now of WW11 when he was a POW in Germany...me young....I follow my dad as I will be 63 in August...I thank him and my mum for my European genes...xx
I'm in total awe of your coloring that incredible stamp, Shirley! I'd be completely overwhelmed just thinking of doing that. This is stunning!
I LOVE this floral background stamp against the colored background! And the touches of white really make it pop! A beautiful setting for a wonderful sentiment!
Wow, that stamped background doesn't look stamped! Looks like genuine patterned paper that is highly detailed and gorgeously hued. :) Well done, Shirley!
Wow Shirley! That is one stunning background! Your eye for color has not failed you! Love it! Have a fabulous day my artistic friend!
Hugs
Ellen
Congratulations to Ros! It couldn't have happened to a sweeter lady! Your Beautiful Day card is another delicious work of art, Shirley!! Hugs, Darnell
