I recently ordered the beautiful Steampunk Christmas set from Chocolate Baroque which had been on my wish list for a long time. My husband likes the Steampunk designs a lot, so I made this card for him.
The background is Dylusions Inks mopped up from my craft mat. The cog trees were stamped with Mowed Lawn DI. I stamped the bottom of the smaller tree around the edge. The larger tree in the centre was stamped with Cobalt Ink over another Dylusions inked piece of cardstock. I cut it out and then embossed the entire image with a Kaleidoscope powder. I coloured the cogs over top of the embossing with purple Smooch Ink.

I used the gorgeous flowers also from the Steampunk Christmas set for the card below. This set has a lot to offer, for non-steampunk as well.
The background on the above card was created using Festive Berries and Mahogany Distress Inks using the acrylic block technique. I stamped the Holly edge from Christmas Edges and Joy with Seedless Preserves DI. The Holly Flourish is by Cheery Lyn.
The flowers were embossed with Bronze Metallic power, I blended Seedless Preserves and Mahogany Distress Inks to colour them. I cut them out, popped them up and added a large bling piece to the centers (which covered up the cog center as this card is not steampunk theme). I didn't have purple bling in this size but found that I could colour them with Alcohol ink.

I have one more card that I created recently with the beautiful New England Winter A5 set that I've had for a while, also by Chocolate Baroque. I love this house and enjoyed colouring it.
The background is Broken China, Tumbled Glass and Evergreen Bough Distress Inks using the Acrylic block technique. I picked up drops of ink after drying. I stamped the corners from the New England Set with Evergreen Bough ink. The house, star and sentiment from Warm Christmas Greetings were stamped with Black Versafine Ink. I coloured the image with my Prisma Pencils, added red glitter to the ornaments on the tree and a little clear glitter here & there (hard to see in the photo).

Wonderful cards, Shirley! If I had to pick one I didn't know which one to choose. they are ALL beautiful!
Three very different cards, two using the Steampunk stamps - one quirky with the cog Christmas tree, and the other rich and elegant with the flowers. The third one is a completely different way of using what would normally be thought of as a moving house image but works perfectly as an 'our house to your house' Christmas card. I love all the colours and with just a little embellishment the images are the focal point. Absolutely lovely!
Beautiful steampunk Christmas cars! Love love the tree of gears! I could so use this set with my current project. And the flower in red and purples....wow!

The one that caught my eye is the first with your idea of edging the whole using the bottom of the small tree - it looks terrific & I love all the embellishing of the tree itself. This is definitely a man.
The second really pops with your use of the purple in combination with the reds - an amazing colour achieved by that blending of Seedless Preserves & Aged Mahogany.
The last one looks super with the way you accented the corners - I can't get over how successful the small corners are at the bottom - the larger corners at the top actually balance the bottom heavy focal image beautifully.

Stunning cards Shirley, I love the steampunk Christmas tree I'm sure your hubby does too. I had forgotten how beautiful the steampunk flower was, until I saw it on your card, they look even better with the gems you've used in the middle. The last card really reminds me of our trip to the US last year and the time we spent in the New England area. I have several photos with houses that resemble this one.

Just terrific, Shirley. These are definitely worth a whole post each. The pink flowers look jewel-like, that's so very clever. I've looked at the stamps, following your references, and they are just all plain stamps - but in your cards here you have made these plain stamps into works of art.

All three of these are really gorgeous Shirley - I have read and re-read and studied each image carefully. I really love the poinsettia - and the house too!! The Steampunk Christmas tree is delightful. I think I really have to get these two sets!!

Oh my! That steampunk is gorgeous, and so perfect for a guy. I had seen the marvelous pink flower on Ryn's FB, and loved it then too. Loved the New England style card too. I'm awestruck at how you create all these wonderful designs with these nifty stamps. Your color combinations on the dylusions are always perfect on the stamps you choose.
