Zentangle Twinchie

Hello everyone, I'm finding my mind is going back to those tiny pieces of artwork called Twinchies.   I can see this could be come a habit-forming :)   I thought it would be fun to do a teeny tiny Zentangle and since the current challege is Anything Goes at Show us your Twinchies Challenge Blog now is the time to try !

The background was cut from a piece of leftover watercolour using Tombow markers, water & salt .  I can't part with any of the leftovers.      I doodled a flower and then drew some Zentangle to fill it in and doodled the sentiment.  I used a 005 pigment pen as the image is quite small.   I layered the watercolour paper onto the black mat to give it a frame.

Below I show the measurement in Metric.      Twinchies are a 2 inch or 5 centimetre square.  It's SMALL !   One of my blogger friends tells me there are Inchies...oh my, that would be even more challenging.

I still intend to get back to creating cards and will be back soon.  Thanks for your visits and kind comments, they are appreciated.

Shirley

How pretty for such a tee tiny little thing! A friend of mine told me she had a whole box of one inch squares and asked if I knew what to do with them. I told about your small creations:) So thanks to you I may have some ideas for little squares.

Well, now, talk about inspiring. I don't think I dare try the Zentangle because it feels intuitively like something that would suck me in, mentally, like literally. (Which probably makes no sense to anyone but me!) But this little twinchie/inchie thing does look intriguing. On the other hand, it must be really hard to hold it down and do such intricate work. And I do have that tremor ... In any case, yours is really, really beautiful!

P.S. Thanks for your birthday wishes!!

Hi Shirley!
Hope your poor knee and finger is getting better!
Do I ever love these twinchies! Wow so interesting! You have made a beautiful one here, and with your own doodle! It is a very very beautiful flower! Very special as well with the zentangles drawn in yourself as well! Absolutely well done! My compliments!
Warm greetings, Marlene :)

Hey Shirley, I love your doodles! They always look like they were so much fun to make :) It's a good idea to save the watercolor backgrounds and reuse them in other work!

Gotta love those twinchies. I have never heard of them but the idea is intriguing. A great way to use up scraps and leftovers from other projects.

Super colours & so effective. I'm finding it so interesting to see other people's approach to Zentangle, especially with respect to the Twinchie art form.
Thanks for this & your lovely encouraging comment. I'd not seen this when I entered.
