Playing with Acrylic Inks

Hello creative people I hope you are doing well.

I was playing with Acrylic inks on a tag and ended up adding one of Designs by Ryn's beautiful birds from her Hummingbird 2 unmounted set.

I added copper acrylic paint using Ryn's Maidenhair Fern stencil and white paint using a Memory Box dotty stencil over the background of acrylic inks.   The black circles were 'stamped' with a small empty bottle and black acrylic paint.

I coloured the Hummingbird with Tombow markers, cut him out and added white highlights with a pen.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.
Happy Halloween!
Shirley

Happy Halloween Shirley :) This is a beautiful tag! I like your use of copper in there. Makes a neat contrast to the other colours. Also like how you coloured the hummingbird in lighter colours to pop him out from the background.

You talked about acrylic ink in the beginning...and I didn't know what kind of material that was :-), but later on you mentioned the paint (that I recognize).
And what a great background for Ryn's nice hummingbird!!! A great tag, Shirley.
Have a nice weekend, Alie

Feels like Spring time, Shirley! Beautifully composed background. Loving how Ryn's hummer is flying off the tag! Hopefully it's not too cold yet, to enjoy the outdoor walking. While we have cooled off considerably, it's still humid and in the mid 80s. 😀

These Ryn hummers are just so delicate & beautiful. Love all the stenciling against the pretty green background, but the copper leaves really sparkle. (I like copper anyway!). The pops of white on the hummer really emphasize the texture of his little feathers, also the white circles on the tag. Beautiful, as always! TFS & Happy Halloween. Hugs.

Your yummer drew me here, Shirley! My own has been sitting up on the top of his swing dripping wet from the rain this morning. YES, RAIN!! We are all doing a happy dance to be getting some measurable rain and, hopefully, lots of snow in the mountains! But that's not why you called. Your mixed media hummingbird tag in all the glorious greens and yellows is simply perfection!! Hugs, Darnell

Cutting out the hummingbird is so effective, he looks like he is flying across.
