The Key to Change

Hello everyone I hope you are having a great weekend.

I taught a workshop today with a great group of creative ladies.  We used many techniques to create five different cards and everyone's turned out beautiful.   Thank you ladies I had so much fun.

I don't have photos from the class but thought I would share a couple of tags that I made recently (not from the workshop).

The background on the tag above was left over from another project with Dylusions Inks that I decided to cut it into a tag shape.   I added white acrylic paint with Dylusion's Dotted Flower stencil.   I stamped with a couple of the leaves from Design by Ryn's Three Leaves Set with Seedless Preserves Distress Ink.  The great quote is from Impression Obsession - Key to Change C13072.

I started with Acrylic paint on the above tag that was left over from another project.   I didn't want to waste it so I sponged 'blobs' here & there.    Next I sprayed lime Dylusions Inks.    I could 'see' flowers & a bird in the blue/green areas which I outlined with a black pigment pen and highlighted with a white pen.  I added design around the edge with Dylusion's Dotted Flower stencil using blue & brown acrylic paints.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day,
Shirley

Oh my Shirely you do push them hard, I find mine struggle with four sometimes but sure they all had a great time and judging by your tags came away with some lovely makes.

Great tags! Love the combination of leaves and flowers on the first! Fun to do what you did; looking what you see in the background and working from there. Looks as if you intended them to be on this beautiful tag! Have a creative sunday! Hugs, Gerrina

Think I need to switch continents so I can take one of your classes. Both tags are delightful but it is the second one that really grabs my attention with the way you have drawn that bird & flower. I love the way you enhanced both with white & the dark framing with stencil matches beautifully.

Shirley, so glad your workshop was a success. You need to move to Florida so we can all learn the "Shirley Style". Wonderful tags, each so vibrantly colored and featuring pretty stamps interesting backgrounds. Always so colorful, and never two the same - I just love your techniques. hugs, de

I'm with Bonnie, would love to share in one of your workshops! These are beautiful, and once again, the different colorways make such a change of pace. Love the IO sentiment on the 1st one, and I enjoyed reading about how you 'saw' the objects in your second tag. Must be truly something an artist can do!!! TFS such lovely tags.

You are so amazing, Shirley! You "saw" those beautiful images and I would have sworn they were from stamps! The colors are just breathtaking!!
