A Christmas Postcard

Hello everyone, I hope you are enjoying the weekend.

I have a card to show today featuring a beautiful stamp by Crafty Individuals that I've had for a while, the lady is so pretty.

I'll join into the Allsorts Challenge Blog with this one as the current theme is "No Designer Papers" which is right up my alley as 99% of the time I create my own backgrounds.   However I still have some beautiful papers hanging about in my stash :)

I stamped the main image, Christmas Postcard Collage, on glossy paper and coloured with TomBow markers (with a craft mat, water & brush).

The background is Dylusions inks and stamped with the beautiful snowflakes from Chocolate Baroque's A Child is Born set. I also added little circles from a stencil using white pigment ink and then embossing with glitter powder.

The flower die cuts are by Crealie- CL CF 18 (coloured with Distress Inks and a top coat of clear Glimmer Glaze)

The branches are by Sizzix- Tim Holtz Alterations - Holiday Greens (coloured with Distress Ink and cut into smaller pieces).

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day,
Shirleyx

A stunning card Shirley, the background is amazing - love the colours. Even the flowers seem resemble snowflakes. Talking of which - I hope the snow you had earlier this week was not as bad as they had down the east coast of the US, it look very bad. Hope your weekend is a good one.

Shirley, this is absolutely fabulous, maybe one of your best. I love how you have painted the Christmas card collage and your 3D flowers are stunning. Great background too.
I was here earlier on but went off on one of your links and forgot to come back! - it's happened before.

I love the colours Shirley and the CI postcard collage is a pretty centrepiece and framed prettily by those gorgeous flowers with their glimmery shine. Your background is to die for as per usual. Hope you have had a good weekend. x

Gorgeous card and that sweet image is coloured perfectly. Love the card design. Not sure what snowflakes you were asking about. One large one I have is a Martha Stewart Punch and my small snowflakes I do with Dimentional Magic do the dots and add a bit of blue ink onto it.....xxx

Hi Shirley. Saw your comment link over at Pat's Gelli Elephant & was able to pop over quickly for a look round. Love the intense blues on this lovely background, and the jewel look of the earring dangling from the focal piece onto the background. This is a pretty stamp and those pinks go so well with the light & dark blues. Love the pink 'feathers' peeking out from behind these dramatic flowers. This one glimmers & glows. TFS & hugs
