Let Your Light Shine

Hello dear blog friends, I have something different to show you today :)

I created this journal page on mixed media paper while following a Lifebook 2017 lesson by the very talented Andrea Gomoll.  She seems like such a sweet lady who is fun to watch and listen to.

The theme of the lesson and painting is to accept your shadows, let in your light (and why one side is is dark as the shadow).   It was so much fun :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day :)
Shirley

Wow Shirley, I love the bright and beautiful colours you have used and the fabulous face and the way the light shines off the skin. The white acrylic adds another dimension together with the stamping and stencilling, and I love the fun earring with the two large feathers too. x

Oh my, Shirley! The intensity of colors, the highlights in her lips and eyes, the heart tattoo, the glorious sun, the unusual green feathers, the tiniest of lines and details... sigh... makes me ponder the Beauty of Life! Truly amazing and peaceful. xx

This is so dramatic, Shirley. I do like the mysterious blue shadows on the left and the bright light coming in from the right. You've made such a wonderful background for this lovely girl. The whole piece is delightful with marvellous colours.
