Hello from my new Craft 'Cave'

Hello creative people, I've finally found some time for a little creativity and a blog post :)   However, life is still not back to 'normal'.

We've moved into our new home but it's not finished yet, lots of unfinished 'things'.   I won't bore you with details but it's been an unsettled and exhausting month.   The entire summer was unsettled but we did have many good times enjoying the walking & cycling trails in a town up north while we waited for our home to be finished.

So here we are living in a small quiet town, close to water.  The people are very friendly, we feel like we are 'home'.

I've found it difficult to be creative when exhausted but I wanted to make thank you cards for a couple of people who work for the builder and have helped us a lot.

I used inky/painted backgrounds and Crealie (flowers)  & Memory Box (flourish) die cuts.

By the way, my craft room is pretty much the same size as I've had previously, it has lots of natural light during the day, even though it's downstairs.  I'm very pleased with my 'craft cave' as my husband calls it.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day !
Shirley x

It takes time until you have finished with setting up your new house.
It sounds good that it feels like at home.

Hello dear Shirley, a very nice card in my favourite colors. I like it much.
Hope you feel fine. Since yesterday it became cold in Germany and now the nice time of candle lights and cabin fire begins. The gardenwork is finished and we have more time for creativity.
How is the weather at your land?
Dear Greetings
Sabine

Super that you moved in! Always a lot more work than you think to finish everything of, but so great to try and look what workes best in a new home! And the pleasure of being in a new home where you can stay a long time is super! I would love a craftroom downstairs; I wouldn't have to go up and down with all the stuff needed for workshops...Glad you have one again and can get crafty whenever you want!
Hope you have so many good times in your new home and make beautful memories there! Good luck with finishing all to your wishes.
Your flower is stunning and the background too! Great card as always! Hugs, Gerrina

So glad you are getting settled in your new home - the best part is hearing that you feel at home there because of the people! It doesn't get any better than that, does it? Did you take before and after photos of your craft cave? It sounds lovely with all the natural light. I made a mistake with mine and painted it during early summer - and we chose what we thought would be a great color, but it is too dark, so we put in some recessed canned lights. What size of yard do you have? Will you be able to plant bulbs and shrubs next spring? Or do you plant bulbs in the autumn?

Your beautifully colored cards are floral masterpieces with the layered flowers and spots of happy silvery explosions! gorgeous backgrounds as always. love, de
