Follow Your Dreams

Hello creative people, I hope you are doing well.  If any of you have been impacted by recent or in the path of new hurricanes, please stay safe, we are thinking about you.

I worked a little more in my small art journal, the faces are a bit 'wonky' but I'll show another one today.  I'm missing my craft 'studio' but very grateful to have a spot to sit and practice a little creativity.

We are fine but I'm feeling a bit 'wonky' myself as I'm unsettled and not sleeping well.  In a few weeks we will be moving again, we are busy, so I won't be around in blog land for a while.

Once again this page was created with pencil, pen, and coloured with a light wash using Tom bow markers.

Thanks for stopping by, take care and stay safe.
Shirley

I really do love your drawings, Shirley! The soft colors are so beautiful, as is your handwriting! I can imagine how unsettled you feel with all the moves, but hoping it will be a wonderful end result! Sending hugs, Greta

You will be so pleased to be moved in to your lovely new home Shirley and I can understand that the waiting must be very difficult for you. I adore the pretty ladies that you have been creating and the eye are always so alive and you really feel them looking straight at you, and I love the inspirational words woven in to the hair and round the neck. If we don't hear from you for a while I hope the move goes well and that you soon get nicely settled. x

She looks lovely and a bit dreamy.
But it is possible that I see her that way because it is a bit dreamy day here...it has rained this morning, the afternoon was so perfect to be outside and ended with some rain and a quick drop in the temperature, so now we are inside and having a cozy evening...
I can understand that you feel wonky...no status qup with you...but I think it will be worth all when you have moved to your new home...it is a strange year...
Hope you have nice weather this weekend and you keep a little bit of piece in your heart to go back to now and then... Hugs, Gerrina

Me again, Shirley. Must be so scary to have your dad dealing with the hurricane. My prayers that they are safe & can soon get back to enjoying life.

I have not been on the computer much for "blogging" or much time to be creative! It was too wet to pick berries today and I needed to make a birthday card... so I came on to be inspired! :) Your art journal is beautiful! Wow! Good luck with the move to your new home. Can't wait to see your art once you have all your "tools"! I like your word 'Wonky'; it is a word I use often! Take care, health and Happiness. Wishing, hoping everyone safe.

So, so happy your family in Florida is safe! Thanks for letting me know, Shirley. Praying they don't have property damage to deal with.

Your lady is so beautiful and calm, she is saying "All will be well". She has lovely eyes.
I love the purples you are using here and the lights and darks and shading you are achieving with the Tombows.
I'm not surprised you are feeling unsettled, being between homes is a stressful time. Hope all goes well.

So beautiful, Shirley, and while I'm aware you're looking forward to getting moved into your new home, I'm delighted to see the result of your creative time here. Gorgeous, my friend! xo

So glad you were able to return to having comments on your blog, Shirley! Loving the words flowing in her gorgeously waterfall-like tresses, and vibrant flower! Again, the light in her eyes is luscious! A wonderful page in your journal! I am leaving a much dreaded copy-and-paste phrase on my friends' blogs. Trying to get back into the groove of normal, everyday life. The recent events in Florida caused circumstances which triggered exacerbations of my diseases. Hoping that my hands heal, and strength returns soon - the rest of it can be coped with easily enough. Thanks for understanding my inability to accomplish very much - maybe in October? love and hugs, de
