Blog Break

Hello creative people thanks for stopping by.

Just a note to let you know I'm fine but life is very busy right now and I haven't had much time for blogging.   Sorry that I haven't been around to visit your blogs lately.   We are still missing our sweet Archie so much, the house is not the same without him :(.

I need to take a break from blogging, when life settles down I'll be back :)

However today I'm showing a 'dream board' journal page (mixed media with collage) that I created for one of Tamara Laporte's (of Willowing Arts)  Lifebook 2017 lessons in January.   I'm behind in Lifebook lessons, but that's OK I can go back to them later.

You can see some of the collage layer below

Please take good care and 'see' you soon :)

ps... I will be back briefly in early April with a Guest Post for Crealies :)

Sorry that I have not visited your blog in such a long time Shirley, life has definitely been getting in the way here, I will PM you.... Your Lifebook creations are beautiful, and the faces are delightful. I love your use of colour, just fabulous, even in the limited colour palette project. Take care during your blogging break, and think of Archie with fond memories. We are still missing our beautiful Cody after two years, but I would far rather have known him for his short life, than never have encountered him at all. Big hugs, Judith xx

Hi, Shirley! I hope you enjoy your blog break - we all need to do that from time to time. It's so hard adjusting to life when our fur children are no longer gracing us with the gift of their lives, and I pray that soon your hurting heart will be able to think fondly of his dearness without too much pain.

Your masterpiece is gorgeous! Lovely soft colors, and the light in her eyes is just amazing! I don't know how you do it! On a humorous note, I saw the darling bird on her head and thought to myself, "Now THAT'S the kind of bird-brain I'D like to be!" LOL

But I like that Nature is not far from her thoughts, with her grateful heart, and the little hearts hanging from the sun's rays. It DOES remind me of you, Shirley. I've sent a brief email, but you do not need to respond - just a little something personal.

love,
de

This is such a beautiful painting, Shirley. Your ladies have such personality and sweetness. I like all the additional "bits" too - the heart tree, the bicycle, the house and tree and of course the bird.
Have a nice rest from blogging, and hope to see you back soon.
