Inspired by Tamara Laporte

Hello everyone,  I hope you are doing well. I have something completely different to show you today and not a Christmas design!

I drew and painted this page while following a self-study mixed media course by Tamara Laporte of Willowing Arts.  The short course, "The Happy Traveller"  is part of her Life Book 2016.  It was up on her web site as a free sampler for a short while, but I see it's gone now.    I've signed up for several courses including the Life Book 2017 which I'm very much looking forward to.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week,
Shirley

This is fabulous Shirley and I adore her face and hair and the background colour is so pretty. I love the added owl and dragonfly, and all the hearts with the stars and bits of script, and the chain of hearts through her hair goes perfectly. A very clever piece of work. Enjoy your week too. x

You are so talented. Very beautifully done. Your work is very versatile. Hope to see more journal pages from you. Got my Christmas tree up and half my Christmas baking done. I'm so in the Christmas spirit. No snow in Sarnia, but just north of us, there is quite a bit. Stay warm!

Shirley you did a lovely job on her face!!! Love the turquoise eyes. They look like deep pools of water. I like the colour variation in her hair as well. So happy to hear you're experimenting and having fun! Sending hugs!!!

This is great, love the owl and her flowing hair and the hearts. Looking forward to seeing more of your paintings (as well as your cards, of course), you have quite a style with your colours.
