I had more time to create Christmas cards while it's extremely hot and dry here. These are a little more traditional using greens.
The background is various colours of Distress Ink along with the stenciling and stamping. 'Christmas' is from a Tim Holtz stencil, I used some gel gloss and added glitter.
Dies:
- Tattered Poinsettias by Tim Holtz (I love this set)
- Star Flourish by Creative Expressions
- Ornate 'snowflake' design is by Heartfelt Creations - from the Arianna Lace set to which I added glue and glitter
Below is a smaller card that started with the same background but with different stamping and embossing.
Dies:
- Tim Holtz's Tattered Poinsettia
- 'Greeting' is by Tim Holtz from the Holiday Words Script thinlits se
- Pine branch is a punch by McGill - Designer Pine
Thanks for stopping by,
Shirley

Beautiful - love all those strong shades of green. I have that poinsetta die - must dig it out!

Fantastic cards, love them! Have a nice weekend, hugs, Valerie
These are beautiful Shirley. Such wonderful dimension and I like how you've used non traditional colours for your Poinsettias, love your backgrounds too. Crafty hugs, Sandra X
Really beautiful card as always Shirley and all the colours complement each other so prettily. The TH poinsettia is great and I love your combination of stamps and dies. Hope you are enjoying your weekend. x
Stunning cards with the usual Shirley mix of everything beautiful.
Love Chrissie xx
Both cards are so amazing, the brilliant colour and the whole design is marvellous.
I hope you are well and wish you a wonderful weekend,

Stunning cards Shirley, I love the colours and the tattered poinsettia. I hope that your drought does not go on for much longer. For a change here in the UK we're having some great weather at the moment, have been to Eileen's workshop today and had great fun. Have a great weekend.

Gosh, Shirley! The colors may be a bit more traditional, but the artwork is typical "fatastical-magical" Shirley! The stars, snowflakes and shaped flowers are make this especially beautiful and moving. It's a wonderful creation, Shirley. Sorry to hear it is so hot up north! We are used to it, though, and have AC, so I know it must be very difficult for you! It's hard to enjoy the outdoors when the humidity is so high. Hope you enjoy some pretty weather soon! love, de
Gorgeous shades in the background & love your use of images & dies--wonderful card, Shirley!
Wow.. Beautiful cards, love the colours. Great flowers.

Woah, your cards always amaze me Shirley, fabulous colours zing off the page :D I did have the best time with Darnell :D Thank you, it was lovely to 'see' you on my post :D xx
I see I missed some while I was on holls... Love the flowers on this one and the Pink/purple and what a stunning background on the one in the post before this one! Clever to just slowly make the X-mas cards already! Hugs, Gerrina
Another wonderful Christmas card, Shirley! The colors and the poinsettias are very beautiful. It's a great idea to make them in advance. Mar xx
These are wonderful colours. As usual you create the perfect flowers. So professionally done. You're so talented! Well, wasn't that quite the rain we got on the weekend. We were at a wedding and the tent blew over so we made a beeline for the car which was a long ways away. My car seats took two days to dry out, and as you can image we were soaked to the skin. It made for a good laugh. Have a terrific week. Hugs.
Shirley this is absolutely gorgeous. As I have told you many times before, you always have the prettiest color combinations!

I love all your Christmas cards. Sounds like a nice cool thing to do when it is too hot outside. I often wonder how you post these cards with the spectacular 3D flowers. These "tattered" ones look magnificent.
Absolutely beautiful and unique christmas cards! Wonderful colours!
I have the impression that you are in a christmas flo as I'm seeing pass a lot of beautiful christmas cards, I did my fist one today, but because it has to dry a bit I show it tomorrow, your card looks wonderfull!!
Have fun!!

Such beautiful designs Shirley and those colors are scrumptious!
The glittered CHRISTMAS is really striking too.
Sounds like we are having similar weather...really hot and humid here but only a half inch of rain the other day. Less grass to mow at least. oxo
Lovely, lovely, and I so admire your dedication to your craft in the heat! Happy weekend, my friend.
