Christmas in Greens

Hello everyone, I hope you are have a great weekend.

I had more time to create Christmas cards while it's extremely hot and dry here.  These are a little more traditional using greens.

The background is various colours of Distress Ink along with the stenciling and stamping.  'Christmas' is from a Tim Holtz stencil, I used some gel gloss and added glitter.

Dies:
  •   Tattered Poinsettias by Tim Holtz (I love this set)
  •   Star Flourish by Creative Expressions
  •   Ornate 'snowflake' design is by Heartfelt Creations - from the Arianna Lace set to which I added glue and glitter

Below is a smaller card that started with the same background but with different stamping and embossing.

Dies:
  • Tim Holtz's Tattered Poinsettia
  • 'Greeting' is by Tim Holtz from the Holiday Words Script thinlits se
  • Pine branch is a punch by McGill - Designer Pine

Thanks for stopping by,
Shirley

Stunning cards Shirley, I love the colours and the tattered poinsettia. I hope that your drought does not go on for much longer. For a change here in the UK we're having some great weather at the moment, have been to Eileen's workshop today and had great fun. Have a great weekend.

Gosh, Shirley! The colors may be a bit more traditional, but the artwork is typical "fatastical-magical" Shirley! The stars, snowflakes and shaped flowers are make this especially beautiful and moving. It's a wonderful creation, Shirley. Sorry to hear it is so hot up north! We are used to it, though, and have AC, so I know it must be very difficult for you! It's hard to enjoy the outdoors when the humidity is so high. Hope you enjoy some pretty weather soon! love, de

These are wonderful colours. As usual you create the perfect flowers. So professionally done. You're so talented! Well, wasn't that quite the rain we got on the weekend. We were at a wedding and the tent blew over so we made a beeline for the car which was a long ways away. My car seats took two days to dry out, and as you can image we were soaked to the skin. It made for a good laugh. Have a terrific week. Hugs.

I love all your Christmas cards. Sounds like a nice cool thing to do when it is too hot outside. I often wonder how you post these cards with the spectacular 3D flowers. These "tattered" ones look magnificent.

Such beautiful designs Shirley and those colors are scrumptious!
The glittered CHRISTMAS is really striking too.
Sounds like we are having similar weather...really hot and humid here but only a half inch of rain the other day. Less grass to mow at least. oxo
