Christmas in Pinks and Purple

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well.

It's been so hot during the afternoons that it's much more comfortable to be inside with air conditioning and  playing in my craft room.  It may be a bit strange to make Christmas cards during summer, but I have fun getting an early start.

I created a large background and so I had enough for a couple of smaller cards (below).   I used Dylusions sprays and Glimmermist in the background along with some stamping.  The lovely star flourish is by Creative Expressions and the Poinsettias (coloured with Distress Inks, spritzed with water and molded) are Tim Holtz's -Tattered Poinsettia.

And below is a couple of smaller cards (and flatter for mailing) using the same background.  The little stars and bows are by Memory Box.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week,
Shirley

Wow, these are stunning Shirley. I love the gorgeous background you've created and the wonderful poinsettia is such a lovely colour. Not strange at all to be making Christmas Cards this time of year I already have 40 towards those that I will need to make. Hope you are keeping well.

Oh wow--I so love this background & your beautiful cards, Shirley! Can I just send you my address now?! I make Christmas cards all year & you've really inspired me to make a background like this--plus I have a very similar MB die cut to use! Have a great week--hope you get some heat relief--much better here now.

Hi, Shirley! Even before reading the sentiment on your magnificently colored card, I thought, "Wow! A Shirley-Style Winter Wonderland!" and sure enough, it was a holiday card! It's incredible with that icy cold yet beautiful floral arrangement, and with all the lovely bejeweled background textures, including the magic of stars! Your flatter cards are amazing, too! LOVE THEM! Hope you have gotten a little more rain. We have not had any recently, and maybe it's because I sent it your way? love, de
