I have a card today using a stencil and stamps by Designs by Ryn, including one of her amazing water designs. There are some 'copy cat' companies out there, but Ryn's water stamps are a very high quality and I think the most realistic design.
I truly don't understand how some business owners feel that it's 'OK' to steal someone's designs, it's just morally wrong. I understand that a stamp company may see an opportunity in the market for water designs and create stamps using their own drawings, which is the legal and ethical way to conduct business. (they are out there). However, stealing ideas and designs from a sweet young lady who is managing a small business on her own is just so wrong. We all should know that stealing anything from anyone is wrong.
I could say more, but I'm now off my soap box, rant is over.
I started by using Maidenhair Fern stencil with molding paste. When dry I sprinkled Brusho ink powders, spritzed with Gold Glimmermist and let it run. I like how the gold mica gathered around the raised image.
Lucine the Moth was stamped on separate cardstock, coloured with inks and cut out to attached. I also stamped Hanging Droplets in the background and added the die cut word by Tim Holtz (Sizzix). Ryn's stamps are also available on unmounted sheets at a very good value.
Below is a close up where you can see stickles on the Moth.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day,
Shirley

Beautiful card, and you are right, some people are not ethical in their business deals. Ryn's designs are always fantastic and her stamps are super and worth every penny. Hugs, Valerie
Oh that moth and a great shot with the shimmery wings too dear Shirley! Stunning card you created yet again ♥
It certainly is hard to fathom that people think stealing is acceptable. How do they look themselves in the mirror each day!
Happy July oxo
So agree with you on stealing designs. I have Ryn's water drop stamps and they are gorgeous. By the way - beautiful card! :D
You are quite right Shirley and Ryn's designs are beautiful as can be shown here by your gorgeous card using that fabulously realistic moth ... and I adore the colours you have used, also the wonderful texture using the pretty fern stencil and of course, the great water droplets by Ryn which come in all shapes and sizes. x
Beautiful

Such a wonderful card Shirley, and the moth is stunning ! I do agree completely, it's absolutely unfair and false, to steal from others. I love the beautiful stamps from Ryn ! Greetings, Enny
Beautiful card Shirley and those water droplets look so real.

I'm loving how you have made this card from all the greens, and it certainly is beautiful.
I'm afraid it is all too easy to steal ideas from the Internet, but that doesn't make it right of course.
Hey Shirley, I count myself very lucky to have your support and friendship. Thank you for your care and to everyone else for their kind comments as well 💗 Love the colouring on Lucine in this card! Those deep colours against the subtler stenciling creates a lovely contrast. Many thanks and big hugs to you!!! Xo
I do love it when you are back to your favourite greens. This is just stunning!
I'm up there with you on that soap box Shirley. I hate seeing companies coming out with almost identical stamps as others who have lead the way. I love this gorgeous card and your favourite colours too, it's great how you've managed to make the water droplets look like gold too.

An incredible use of Brushos and stencils, Shirley. I hadn't thought of using them with stencils. Your combination of soft and vibrant colors produces a magical effect for your lovely moth and water droplets. Don't you love using both nature and live-looking elements with abstract designs!? Beautiful masterpiece, Shirley. Hugs, de
Hi dear Shirley, beautiful card and colors! I am totally with you on this....I also mentioned it before on my blog.....it's hard for some people to be original and unique and for that I pity them.........there is a lot of copying in the crafting branche! big hugs to a lovely lady, xx Miranda
Hi! Super BG! (bought that stencil this week second hand :) ) And great colours; love this fresh look! Hugs, Gerrina
Gorgeous design. I like the stickles on the moth. I totally agree with you that other companies should not copy other company's work. I see it all the time.
Great colors! I love the delicate blending of colors and beautiful golden sheen around the pattern of the stencil. I completely agree with you that the projects and design Ryn is unique, all the other stamps are just clumsy fakes. It is not worth to buy them!
Hugs,
BozenA

Oh my goodness--one of my all-time favorites, Shirley! I've got to try moistening my Color Bursts with a gold mist & see what happens! You're so right about the stealing someone's designs--how do they live with themselves?!
This is stunning, great colors and love that bit of gold on it!
Enjoy your summer!

Hello again dear Shirley. Not only butterflies are beautiful, your moth shows us that also moths can be it. I like the colors and the embossed branch and stamped drops, an excellent composition. I also like the little golden glitter on the moth. Well done!
