Poinsettia in Traditional Christmas Colours

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well.    We are still enjoying a wonderfully warm summer and I'm still not in my craft room or visiting blogs as much as 'normal'.

I created another card a while ago using the Tattered Poinsettia dies by Tim Holtz along with stamps from Designs by Ryn, but this time I used traditional Christmas colours.

I used Evergreen and Festive Berries Distress Inks with water to create the background.  I over stamped with Seaweed Set to create the 'branches'.   I also sprinkled white and gold embossing enamel onto the background and heated underneath with a heat gun.   The die cut flower is coloured with Festive Berries DI and the Sea Bubbles embossed with gold.    I painted over the flower with Viva Kristal Gel.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week,
Shirley

This is another beautiful card Shirley and the Poinsettia with its patterned gold embossing and the Krystal Gel certainly makes a statement centrepiece. I love the pretty distress inked leaves and the sames colours used in the background with the pretty stamping, and the spots of embossing enamel give it a true Christmas feel. Glad your weather is so good and you are enjoying the summer. x
