Beauty with a Streamertail Hummingbird

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well and enjoying the summer.  I haven't spent much time in my craft room this summer but I'm sure that will change in the Fall :)

However yesterday I had some 'play time' again with Design by Ryn's new gorgeous Hummingbird stamps.   I used the Streamertail hummer from her Hummingbird 2 unmounted set.

The background was created by blending Distress Inks around circle die cuts (Bokeh technique).   I also sprinkled some water over the ink to create the splats (dab off with a paper towel).   I over stamped with Ryn's Spiral Branch Set. I coloured the images with Tom Bow markers and highlighted with a white Gelly Roll pen. I also sprinkled and heated (underneath) some white embossing enamel. Beauty is from Chocolate Baroque's Artistic Expressions Set.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend,
Shirley

What a great fusion of colours and inkiness Shirley, everything blends together beautifully and the touches of white frantage/embossing work so well.

BEAUTY is the perfect name for this gorgeous creation Shirley!
All of your special touches really make it stand out.
I am fascinated with hummingbirds.
Ours here in Virginia do not have special fancy tails but they are beautiful.
We are enjoying some cooler than average weather for awhile long and I am loving it while it lasts!
Happy Day to you oxo

Love those hummingbirds! I'm waiting for my friend to come with their dog this morning so I get to hang out here in the house! Otherwise I would be out picking berries! Picked 17 quart on Wednesday, yesterday I was in town and got more therapy! :) .....more paper passion! :) I purchased my Anniversary gift from my husband! :) so I didn't have to feel guilty buying! I got more tom bows! I was coloring housemouse the other night and didn't have colors in that brand! I am not fond of mixing brands while coloring one image! If that has any logic! Can't believe how fast August is going! We had a lot of company this month; a number from Ont.! :) Many thanks for your comments! Have a great weekend! Take care

Hey Shirley, such wonderful comments on this post! Well deserved! Love your colouring on the Hummingbird and how you popped it out from the background by adding purple. Great layering of Spiral Branch Set along the border to add depth and like everyone else - love that Bokeh technique in there! Thanks so much :) xo

Aahh! I've been seeing the new Ryn hummers shared on Facebook, but think this must be the most beautiful look yet. The colors are glorious & the lovely background allows the rich colors of the little hummer to just glow. I LOVE this technique, and the leafy stamping around the edges added such extra detail & dimension. It's always worth the wait to see your wonderful work. TFS & Have a great wkend. Hugs
