Zendala

Hello everyone, I hope you are enjoying the week.  The weather here is gorgeous so we have been able to spend time in our new small gardens.  While they are so much smaller than I'm used to, they still need work and more plants.

While on vacation my talented Tante (Aunt) taught me how to draw circles to create Mandalas.  It's so relaxing to draw and colour them and one I turned into a Zendala.   It's a simple design as I haven't been practicing Zentangle in a while, but I love drawing them.

I used Inktense pencils to add some colour when I returned home.  I didn't have my crafting supplies with me.  That would have required 10 suitcases !

Thanks for your visit and have a great weekend,
Shirleyx

I've always wondered how these beautiful mandalas are drawn. I daresay it is on the Internet somewhere. I like this very much, the delicate colours and the pretty tranquil pattern.

Shirley, I love your mandala. There is a slightly looser style than many I see, and coupled with the inktense colour wash, you have a gorgeous end result, I really love this! Elaine x

Wow this is gorgeous Shirley, when I first saw it I thought it must be a stamp. I've not really got into Zentangle (yet). Have fun in your new garden and I hope the weather stays nice for you.

This is beautiful and so cleverly drawn Shirley and I love the different tangles and pretty colours you have used. I'm glad your weather has been good and you have been able to garden. The weather here has been really cold and quite wet this last week so hope it warms up soon. x

This is lovely & so colorful. Looks like wonderful therapy too. I've never tried one of these (only tried once to Zentangle, & it wasn't that great, but fun!) Your effort turned out stunningly. Good luck in your new gardens, enjoy the gorgeous weather. I'm liking your new photo of yourself too. You look pretty & happy! TFS & Hugs.

Beautiful! Love your zendala and your coloring! Looks awesome! Thanks for your comments! Hope you had no more frost! I almost put my tomato plants outside but our "date" is June 2 nd or so I told people last weekend at the school plant sale! :) It is fun helping at the sale and makes me "think" once a year! :) It is so refreshing to see all the beautiful colors after our winter and count how lucky we were to have so minimum of damage compared to others! But a little sad that I lost all my butterfly bushes! Anyway, love your card and thanks for inspiring! Have a great weekend!
