Beautiful Butterflies

Hello everyone, I hope your week is going well.

I have two designs today using butterflies from Chocolate Baroque's new Harebell and Briar Rose Butterfly sets.

I created the above background with Peacock Feathers Distress ink using the Acrylic Block technique.   I stamped the Big Bold Background - Leafy Trails with the same ink.   The butterfly from Briar Rose Butterfly and the smaller one from July Fairy were embossed with gold, coloured with Tombow markers, cut out and popped up over the background.   The sentiment is from Loving Sentiments.

I created the background above with the same technique but with Mowed Lawn and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks.   I stamped foliage from Briar Rose Butterfly around the background.  The butterflies from both sets were stamped with Cobalt Archival Ink, coloured with Tombow markers, cut out and popped up over the background.   The sentiment is also from Loving Sentiments.

Thanks for your visit and have a great day,
Shirley

Guten Morgen, Shirley.
immer wieder bewundere ich deine ausdruckstarken Karten und bin fasziniert von den strahlenden Farben.
Der Hintergrund der Schmetterlinge ist dir wieder so schön gelungen.
Wunderschön alle beide :-)

These are both beautiful Shirley, and the stamping with those pretty colours in the background works wonderfully well. I love the way on the first card you have accessorized with touches of gold with the embossing and the ribbon, and the second has the yellowy butterflies with that lovely dark green sheer ribbon which harmonizes with the Archival ink you have used. x

Oh! I can breathe a sigh of relief for finally reaching your blog, my dear Shirley! How beautiful your recent cards are - such pretty turquoise elements in each, and the richness of design only you can create - so beautiful! I know I already used that word, but it is true. These butterflies are my favorite, of course, because I'm a butterfly fiend - the colors are to die for. I'm floating on their dear wings, imagining your garden, and pretending to help you do those behind the scenes things. Thank you for sharing your cards, Shirley! hugs, de

Such a treat to pop in, and see this summer garden banner. It's lovely. So are the 2 awesome cards with those backgrounds that you do so marvelously well. Really liking the new background stamps too. So versatile. Those gold butterflies - my, my. Extraordinary against these cool green leafy backgrounds. TFS & Hugs

I love your cards, the designs are always beautiful and happy, and I do enjoy your descriptions of making them with the fabulous colour names and your links to the bare stamps which you then paint so successfully.
Hope your two cats are well and that they and you have a great weekend.
