Fantasy Castle with Blue and Green

Hello everyone, I hope all is well.

I have another design today using Chocolate Baroque's new beautiful Fantasy Castles set.   These castles have so much wonderful detail, they are great fun to colour with pencils.

The background behind the castle is Broken China and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks using an acrylic block and water.  I coloured the clouds from Magical Landscapes and castle from Fantasy Castles with Prisma pencils which I used Cobalt Archival ink to stamp.   I added glitter to the rain and water fall.

The larger background was created with Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks again with an acrylic block.   I stamped Wisteria from Wisteria Lane and the trees from Magical Landscape with Mowed Lawn DI ink.   I stamped the brick work using a fragment from Abstact Fragments with Salty Ocean Distress Ink.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day,
Shirley

Such a stunning card. Love the background. You have so much detail and it works so well. Hope Archie is feeling better. Skipper has been sick the last couple of days. Sending purrs to Sheena as well. :)

What a lovely card Shirley, such uplifting colours and great effect with the acrylic block. The use of the fragment stamp in the background, works really well and your colouring is gorgeous. I am sure the glitter adds a special little touch too. I do hope things are starting to warm up for you and there has been no more snow. Elaine x

I feel as if I'm looking at a scene where a little part of it has been enlarged to give a peek into a magical world hidden midst these rolling backs & trees, or perhaps there is a little door in that stone wall which when opened reveals the magical castle scene. The sunshine & showers effect you achieved is so effective & it really looks as if the castle is appearing in the midst of a waterfall with its own mini waterfall gushing out. The colours of the scene add so much dimension to the scenario. It really sent me off into a flight of fancy!

This is a real wow card Shirley, and everything about it is beautiful. The background with the Wisteria foliage framing the scene and the Abstract Fragment along the bottom half are inspired choices. The topper with that beautiful fantasy castle, which I think is my favourite one, has been beautifully coloured with the Prisma pencils and the glitter looks lovely on the water. The dark blue it is layered on to, and the little bit of dark ink around the edge, draws the eye in perfectly.

The onion dome castle stamps certainly are dreamy.
They speak to my Russian heritage from my mother's mother.
You have used them beautifully and the greens of this card really get me in the mood for spring...not much green here yet ;)
