Quirky Owl

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well, it's hard to believe that we are well into August already!

As I've mentioned before, life is not 'normal' right now and I'm not feeling settled.  I'm happy that I'm able to be creative from time to time but we are also enjoying summer activities and being outside as much as possible.

This journal page is very much inspired by Tamara Laporte of Willowing Arts, in fact it's from a Lifebook 2017 lesson.  The lesson teaches a class using mixed media and collage, this is a very simple version using minimal supplies.  Most of my art supplies are packed in storage at the moment so I don't have to make any decisions about what to use.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day,
Shirley

Hello Shirley. Nice to see you on your blog today.

What a great page and I hope the owl will motivate you to stay positive and patient. It isn't always easy at certain times.

Thinking of you with love

What a wonderful Owl Shirley. Having limited craft and art supplies does not seem to have stopped you being creative. Hopefully your new home will be finished and you can get all of your craft supplies out for a play.

This is fantastic, Shirley! Your owl's ear feathers and neck feathers appear to be pointing in all the directions of the compass, which is perfect for your queries of "where am I?" and "where is home?"! Hang in there! Hugs, Darnell

I'm an owl lover and this one is just so cute. I collect owls and have a couple of colouring books that have owls in them.

Such a cute and quirky owl, with very appropriate words too. Being creative takes us to somewhere where nothing else matters (even if it is fleeting). Sending good thoughts.

Think it is a she and she looks so surprised! Hadn't thought I would like a green owl, but the colour suites her! Hugs, Gerrina

I adore your sweet owl Shirley and love the colours and you've done great with your minimal supplies. Hope that it won't be too much longer living in limbo, it must be very frustrating for you, but glad you have been out and about and enjoying the Summer, not much of it around here at the moment but hopefully it will improve soon. x
