Whimsical Girl

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well.

I created this journal page with acrylic paints and pens earlier this year when I was more relaxed and had time. I'm looking forward to getting back to mixed media art and drawing, but my craft 'studio' is packed up, I won't have much space and limited supplies for art for a few months.  We are moving to a temporary location soon while waiting for our new home to be built :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day,
Shirley

No words on this one, but I'm thinking "home is where your heart is"--how you'll be living during this time of change, I imagine. A really gorgeous page, Shirley--you are so talented! We only had 1 house built (ended up staying only 3 yrs) & it was a thoroughly fun experience--hope that's true for you, too! Big hugs, Greta

This is a wonderful piece of artwork Shirley and your sweet lady is beautifully painted and I love all the little hearts on the image and in parts of the background which tie it all together. I hope your temporary move goes well and that the house building is achieved without too many difficulties along the way. I look forward to seeing you back here when you can and until then take care. x

What a lovely self portrait, Shirley! I especially know it's you because your endearing heart is wrapped all around the outside of her body, and your heart is reaching out to each home, through the loving birdy song, dangling from the corner of your journey, and even written as a foundation to the homes. But I cherish that your heart, your home, is wherever YOU are! Hope all is well! xx

This is terrific, Shirley. I love your ladies who always look so good, and I love how you make a cohesive background with all the interesting extras, the houses, bunting, the bird and flowers.

Shirley! I love your ladies :D The shading on the face is lovely. Gives a subtle sense of depth and contour. The colourful highlights in the hair are great too! So inspired to see your progress with these.
