Tell me a Story

Happy Weekend everyone I hope you are doing well.

I'm working more on Journal pages than I had in the past, some for classes, Lifebook 2017 and others just playing without following anything.  Below is one that is my own design and I think it tells a story.

Art Journal Journey's theme for January is "Tell me a Story" as most journal pages do tell a story.   I'm linking in at AJJ this month, it's been a long time.  I've met so many talented and friendly bloggers through this site.

The story here is that the girl loves her home, nature, birds, flowers and her cat and he is the king of the home :)

We had a scary week with our beautiful friendly cat who has been ill off and on for most of his life.   He is doing well on some new meds for GI issues.   Last summer we thought we would lose him after extensive dental surgery (he only has a few teeth left) when a few weeks later he became very ill and in a lot of pain.   However he 'came back' again with good meds.  Our vet bills are high but he is family, we of course love him and do our best for him.  He is probably 13 years old, but we are not sure as we adopted him as an adult from a animal shelter 11 years ago.  He had been picked up as a stray and probably has had about 25 lives.

Here he is laying under the Christmas tree last month.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day,
Shirley

Fantastic page, and you made me very happy that you have linked to us at AJJ. Glad your beautiful cat is feeling better, pets really are members of the family. I was devastated a couple of years back when my Kitty dies - but she did reach the ripe age of 22! Hugs, Valerie

Beautiful page, you have created a lovely scene! The girl eyes are mesmerising and she looks like she is in great appreciation of life with her cat and the song the little bird is singing :-). Thanks for drawing me into her story. Your cat looks very content sat under the Christmas tree, so adorable and I'm really pleased he is recovering well. Have a great weekend! J :-)

What a beautiful cat Archie is Shirley and hopefully the new treatment will keep him on an even keel. It is so hard to take when an animal is getting older and in poor health. I love your pretty lady holding her sweet little cat and I love the way you have given him a crown to show his importance, and I love the cute bird on the branch singing away too, and all three have lots of character. x

He is a beautiful guy Shirley. Pets are family and therefore deserve love and care when they need it. I'm glad your guy is doing well, and he looks good. And your page is great. I love how colorful and bright and happy your page is. Glad you decided to come back and join us at AJJ. :) Erika

Your painting of these faces is exquisite Shirley. You must be thrilled. This one does indeed tell a story. I hope your cat settles again OK. These do give us a lot of pleasure and pain don't they! Sorry you had trouble with my blog posts, it was my own fault for not remembering to allow comments, I went back and changed them when I realised, but by then most visitors had given up!!!! I find myelf working more ion AJ-pages because I like to keep some things and I have enough cards just from the challenges I like to participate in... Like that they are a bit bigger, so you can "play"more or tell more of a "story" on them... Just like you did so beautiful here! It is good to see you still use your favorite colours... Stay warm too! Hugs, Gerrina

I'm so glad your cat is recovering, he looks so delightful in your photograph.
How nice that you have made a painting of him (with his crown) and I think there are other wonderful features in this painting but the cat steals the show (as always).
