Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day!   I hope you are doing well, thanks for stopping in at my blog.  I haven't been around in blog land too much these days, I have a lot going on.

It has been extremely cold this weekend, minus 40 with the windchill.....brrrrrrrrrrrrr.   However when it's cold the sun shines which makes me feel good.   We stay warm inside and wear warm clothes for the times we go out.  I went for a long walk over the weekend in spite of the bitter cold, our thick Canadian blood keeps us warm :)

I have a tag to show today with a background using Brushos and flowers by Heartfelt Creations.  I'm still enjoying creating and shaping paper flowers :)

I started with mixed media paper.  Next I sprayed white Goosebumps.  When dry I sprinkled Turquoise, Violet and Lemon Brusho ink powers, spritzed with water and let it run a little.

The flowers by Heartfelt Creations:  Majestic Morning HCPC3578 stamp and HCD742 die.   These are the same flowers that I used in my previous post but molded them differently.   They are coloured with Twisted Citron Distress Ink and painted over top with Lime Green 3D stamp paint which gives it lovely texture and sparkle.    I also died Tim Holtz crinkle ribbon and attached.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day,
Shirley

That's extremely cold Shirley, I read yesterday on another blog how cold the Canadian weather was at the moment. Makes our -4 sound like a summers day.

Some of my favorite brusho colours there and used to great effect along with the Heartfelt flowers.

Keep warm,

B x

This is so so beautiful Shirley and I love the more greeny tones you hsve used and the pretty mix of die cut flowers and foliage with the lace and ribbon. I just cannot imagine how cold minus 40 must feel but guess that it must be a drier cold than here where the damp atmosphere makes mildly cold minus temperatures seem a mite chilly...lol. Take care! x

Beautiful tag, Shirley. The colours are gorgeous and so perfectly wintery. I love the winter, but we don't get nearly as cold here as you do in Ontario, and we think -10 is the end of the world. Luckily our idea of really cold days are few and far between. I'd much rather be here in Canada than down in the US Midwest. Scary! I think you must enjoy the winter also, because you are able to capture the feeling of winter in a celebratory way in your work.

Gorgeous tag Shirley, love the colour tones with your gorgeous flowers.
Don't know if I could cope going outside with those temperatures, better to stay inside and craft.

Beautiful. You do so well with Brushos and molding your own flowers. Finally, a craft store (albeit small) had some color bursts so I bought those and hope to be as good as you one day. Finally winter hit Sarnia and we actually had a snow storm last weekend and no longer can I see the grass. We also had -40 with windchill. Quite the difference overnight. Have a great, and productive, week.

Your paper flowers are gorgeous & I love the lace, Shirley! That is way too cold for me! Actually, I didn't even need a sweatshirt today to walk Fritz!

Oh my word Shirley that does sound cold. It is only 0 degrees here and we moan!!! Your tag is gorgeous. You are really working well with those Brushos and your flowers are so lovely. Beautifully shaped and I can imagine the touch of shimmer works really well. I love that bluey pale green colour at the moment. I am using the new Cracked Pistachio DI a lot at the moment and that has a similar tone I think. Keep cosy! Elaine xxx
