Twinkling H2O's meets Designs by Ryn

Hello everyone,  I hope you are doing well.   I have been on a blog break but back a bit sooner than planned as I had some fun play recently.  I'm sorry that I have not able to visit your blogs, but I will be back soon :)

Designs by Ryn's DT were sent a generous package of beautiful Twinkling H20's, shimmering watercolors from ColourArte to play with.   I must say that I've enjoyed my first play very much and showing one design today.    I was excited to try these paints as I already have a collection of ColourArte's Silks Acrylic Glaze which are gorgeous to 'work' with.

We also received a pot of Radiant Gels dimensional paint, it's also very cool, a fun medium with glimmer that I will be showing later :)

The Twinkling H20's paints are different than regular water colours as you can make the paint a bit thick as they have mica powders in them.   They will also layer easier than regular watercolors.   I'm still learning and will continue to play, the colours are gorgeous ... did I say that yet?  LOVE the colours and the glitter in the paints.

ColourArte's website has a fantastic tutorial using Twinkling H20's by Marie of their Design Team here

It's difficult to capture glitter in photos, but hopefully you can see it in the close up below.

Design by Ryn stamps:  Lucine (the moth), and Spiral Branch Set.

The background is alcohol inks on glossy card stock.  I painted Spiral branch with Ginger Peach Twinkling H20's and the Moth with Ginger Peach, Blue Grass and Pretty Peridott Twinkling H20's.  I also used a little Fossilized Amber Distress Ink on the moth which blended beautiful with the paints.

I have the Ginger Peach Acrylic Glaze and must say it's one of my favorite colours, but they are all so beautiful it's difficult to pick a favorite.

More to come soon !
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the weekend,
Shirleyx

So so pretty Shirley and Ryn's moth and the stencilled leaves are gorgeous and go together perfectly here. You can see the pretty mica finish and the colours, especially that bright and sunny yellow really sing out! x

Hello Shirley, how nice to see you popping up on my side bar.
And now you have a new range of mouth-watering colours to tantalise me with. I saw the Silks Acrylic Glaze on another blog - what amazing colours, how could one choose just a few.
These swirling leaves give the card a lot of movement and interest and your painted moths look special.
I hope your crafting assistant is enjoying the blog break too.
