Tropical Design with Ryn's new Stamps

Hello everyone, I hope your week is going well.  We are happy as it's been above freezing with the sun shining all week.  The snow is melting.... yay!

Designs by Ryn has just announced a gorgeous new stamp set -  Hibiscus and also three new fabulous stencils which you can see here.

I just had a quick play to create this tropical design below:

I didn't actually mat this up yet as I was rushing to get a post published today.

The background is turquoise Dylusions spray ink along with yellow and purple Brusho crystal powders (sprayed with water and I let it run).  I used one of Ryn's new stencils - Gingko with acrylic paint over the background which turned out a bit too dark.  I also stamped with one of the smaller flowers from the set over the background.

The Hibiscus flower and leaves were embossed with silver, coloured with Tom Bow markers and cut out to attach.

Below is the complete unmounted rubber set.   Ryn will be selling them mounted as well, she is in the process of scroll sawing.

What's really cool is that she designed a Hibiscus stencil to match the above set which will be great fun to use them together.

That's all for the moment, thanks for stopping by,
Shirleyx

Oh my land, that is so beautiful! Hibiscus I always think of summer! It was beautiful here yesterday (above 0) and melted a lot but then it was just like a rink this morning. I used 3 bags of sand and a bag of salt just to get out our driveway this morning! I'm glad you are inspiring with all these beautiful creations! Thank you!

Oh my gosh Shirley!!! This is SO exciting!!! The first creation I'm seeing using the new designs. I love your mix of the Gingko stencil with the hibiscus theme. They look great together. Your colour work is fantastic as is the composition that you made with the flower and leaves. Thanks so so much!

Gorgeous color Shirley. Love the way everything is sparkling and bright.(Even the dark background.) Yesterday hit 60 in our neighborhood. The snow is all but gone. Now everything is deep mud. I'll take it. LOL. - Jim

This is gorgeous Shirley and the Hibiscus stamps are wonderfully designed by Ryn as are the others. I love the background with one of the stamps and a couple of stencil images, and the colours are so pretty, with the flower and leaves on the top look lovely silver embossed and then coloured in that beautiful pink. Looking forward to seeing some more samples using these new stamps by Ryn. x

Oh my, saw this new set on Ryn's FB page, and thought it was pretty, but after seeing it in YOUR hands, I'm blown away. This set has got _so_ much texture with the drawing lines Ryn has, and will great to make some dimensional flowers with. The embossing & the colors you've chosen are just awesome to show off this pretty flower. Love the delicate lavender shades against that stunning turquoise...the stencil & the extra stamping are amazing. This is going to be a stunner when you mat it up...but don't think it will need a thing extra! TFS & Hugs.

Hmmm, embossing in silver is a new concept to me (I have a hard time thinking outside the box) and I like it very much. Fabulous work. Your work with brushos are so professional; I've seen horrendous work with them.
