Christmas Poinsettia

Hello everyone, I hope your weekend is going well, this is my second post for today!   The previous was to participate in the Art Journal Journey challenge.

I have a design today that is a little different for me.   I love flower dies, I own lots of them, but I don't use them enough.    On the design below I used the Spellbinder Poinsettia with the JustRite matching stamp but you can see I didn't do the best job lining them up.

One of my kind & talented blog friends kindly advised me about the JustRite Christmas Linky Party  so I'm joining in, thanks Shona !

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Beautifully done Shirley. I see no problem with "lining" things up. It is perfect just the way it is. - Jim

What a great "magical" poinsettia, Miss Shirley! The splattered background looks beautiful with it, and such pretty colors to continue your "fantasy" theme. hugs, de

Beautiful card, lovely flowers. Hope all is going well and Archie is having a good weekend. We play golf all year, we even played when it snowed. :) Sending hugs.

A lovely poinsettia and the embossing folder in the background works well with it. I love the colours of card you have used Shirley and the embossing on the petals and the background flourish make this a really pretty Christmas card. x

YAY! Time to play with the dies! I love flower dies and the poinsettia stamps and dies are a big favourite of mine. I also have trouble lining them up accurately, but I saw a Heartfelt Creations video that shows a method where you make a template with the dies. http://www.heartfeltcreations.us/howto?view=videos&videoID=55
I haven't tried it yet, but it looks like a great idea.
You should link up your pretty card to the JustRite Linky party before it ends.

Can you believe we haven't had frost yet? I picked Swiss Chard for my dinner today, and my flowers are still gorgeous!

Awesome. I must be missing something not aligning properly, as it looks terrific to me. Love the colors you selected and the flourishes & florals look super with the spattered background. TFS

Stunning card, Shirley--one of my favorites! I've admired that die for a couple years, but finally got a different poinsettia & need to get it out of the package! You've inspired me!
