Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge 2

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a great week.   This is a scheduled post while I'm in the process of moving.   The move went smoothly but it's a lot of work as anyone who has moved knows.  It doesn't get easier as we get older.

We are very pleased with the fantastic response to Chocolate Baroque's new Colour Challenge.  I created this tag for Chocolate Baroque's Colour Challenge No 2 using the inspiration design colours (shown at the bottom of this post).

I embossed the cogs from Steampunk Christmas with white.  I blended the following Distress Inks over the embossing to create the background:  Dried Marigold, Rusty Hinge and Vintage Photo.  I stamped two flowers from Punky Flowers with Dried Marigold and Rusty Hinge at random.   I blended Dried Marigold and Chipped Sapphire on the butterfly from Steampunk Butterfly that was stamped with Cobalt Archival Ink, decoupaged and popped up over the background.  I also stamped the butterfly on the background so that the antennae didn't need to be cut out.  Art is from Artistic Expressions.  I used a white Gellyroll pen for highlighting and added Glossy Accents to the body which is hard to see in the photo).

Below is the gorgeous Colour Inspiration created by DT member Doreen:

If you have time we would love if you could join in the fun and for a chance to win £15 gift voucher at Chocolate Baroque.

All the details for the Challenge Blog can be found here.

I will continue to be on a blog break until the Fall while we get settled into our new home and create new gardens.   My craft room is still sitting full of boxes and needs work.  Thanks for your visit and have a great day.

A gorgeous tag Shirley. Glad everything seem to be going well. We last moved 25 years ago, and we're hoping that we will not have to move in the future, just thinking about it is stressful.

Hi again Shirley, just want to say it's lovely to read you are settled a little it would be hard for you but things happen for a reason. Hubby and I moved 14 times in our 33 years of marriage due to work and just wanting to go smaller in homes. We always 'did' the house up as I do interior decorating and always sold for a profit, now we have what we always wanted, made renovations, and a smaller garden now gives us time to relax by the pool in summer and also in winter out in the alfresco where we can open up the roof and let the sun in....life has it's own way for us....you will be much happier I hope.. I am off to see my dad tomorrow and the home was in lock down due to influenza virus so we had not seen him for nearly two weeks. Two weeks ago he was on his 'death' bed power in prayer and love pulled him through so I am eager to spend as much time as I can with him....take care.xxThe Journey is the Start

Hi Shirley, Lovely to hear from you, and pop over to catch up. Gosh, you've been so busy. It is extremely hard work to pack up & move, even when you think you've gotten rid of loads of stuff. Then to unpack and try to find it all again, decide on new organization. Your tag is so pretty with the fall background color, and how clever to combine those sprockets & gears with that magnificent butterfly. This is so beautiful. Good luck in your new adventure, and hope you'll keep in touch occasionally as time permits. Big hugs & TFS
