Koi Fish by Designs by Ryn

Hello everyone,  I hope you are doing well and enjoyed your weekend.

I have a card today that features fabulous stamps by Designs by Ryn.

The background is Dylusions inks, I started with yellow in the centre and sprayed the green & blue around it.  I spritz water over top, let it blend and then blot off with a paper towel roll.   I also splattered a little water and blotted with a paper towel.  Next I blended a little Salty Ocean DI over a couple of TCW stencils - Fish Scale & Coral.

Next I stamped with Ryn's Fish Scales and part of Rising Bubbles with Salty Ocean Distress ink.  The Koi Fish and Spiral Branch were stamped with black Archival ink and highlighted with Gelly Roll Pens.  I coloured the fish with Dylusions inks (on my craft mat with water & brush).

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
Shirley

A stunning watery scene Shirley, I love the gorgeous colours you've used, whenever I see these colours together I always think of you. I hope the hint of sunlight on the water is what your weather is doing, and it's improving for you. All is well here, hope it is for you too.

I love how you used the yellow in the centre, keeping the fish as the focus. Your beautiful card inspired me to pull my sprays out of the drawer they live in. But then I had to put them back, knowing that things are safer that way! LOL I can dream though, and that's what you make me do, when you share such dreamy creations!

Your backgrounds are always beautiful, and this one is no exception. With the lighter but yet quite vibrant yellow in the middle flanked by the darker blue and green is just lovely, and the stencilling and background stamping and then the use of Ryns spiral branch round the edge frames the pretty koi fish which you have coloured so prettily by placing over the tones already on the paper and then just enhancing them. The Fish Scales and Rising Bubble stamps complement the rest of the artwork perfectly. I also love the highlighting you have done with the Gelly Roll pens. A gorgeous card Shirley. x

I agree with so many of the comments on here. Great background as usual. I noticed right away the way that you did the scales on the fish. Also love how you use Spiral Branch Set as an aquatic plant. Beautiful card!!!!

Another stunning Ryn stamping! The koi really give a strong sense of movement with the stenciling you've placed 'behind' them. Just love this one! (well, I love them all, let's face it!) Happy weekend. TFS
