Evening Stroll

Hello everyone I hope you are doing well.

I have another design today using the beautiful new Fabulous Flappers set from Chocolate Baroque.

I started with a piece of mixed media paper and adhered a die cut clock (Marianne Design) with a Gel medium and then brushed Gesso over everything.   When dry I painted a few colours of Acrylic glaze over top and spritzed with water to blend and added the painted die cut hands to the clock.    I used the top of a tree from Patchwork Landscape around the outside edge.

The pretty lady was stamped with Cobalt Archival ink, coloured with Intense pencils, cut out and popped up on the background.  I added lots of glitter around her shawl's trim, a little difficult to see in the photos.

Thanks for your visit and have a great day,
Shirley

Morning Shirley,

Sorry it's been so long making a 'proper' visit but trying hard to get back into the swing of things and wanted to say hello and peek at what you have been up to.

Guten Morgen, Shirley...

What is it about purple? I almost never use it, but when I see it, it reaches out and grabs me! Which is exactly what your beautiful project did. The same thing happened yesterday with some overpriced purple pansies, but with this, I can enjoy it's purple scrumptiousness for free!(Okay, so maybe that isn't a real word, but that's how I feel, so spell-check, back off! )

Your coloring of the image is great. However that background is what makes her stand out. Beautifully done.

I love this vibrant and unusual background Shirley and the glittery edge to her cape works beautifully. I also love the patchwork tree used as an edging. Hope you have had a good weekend. x

A very intriguing background, especially with the way you used the patchwork trees around the edges so subtly echoing the pattern in her shawl. I love your use of the cobalt ink for stamping the image & as always your use of the pink for matting in order to bring out the pinks in her dress & headdress.
