Springtime Edges by Chocolate Baroque

Hello everyone,  I hope you are doing well.  Spring sure has been taking it's time to arrive in our part of the world.    The ground is frozen and it's raining, so it's making a mess with the snow/ice that is melting.   We will be so happy when we have warm weather, dry ground & plants blooming.

Chocolate Baroque also launched some fabulous new Edge stamp sets this month and today I have two designs using Springtime Edges.

The background on the card above was created with Ripe Persimmon and Mustard Distress Inks using the Acrylic Block technique.   I stamped the Springtime Edge with Ripe Persimmon DI at the top and bottom.  I had some wide canvas style material in my stash that complimented the colours but it's difficult to see the greens in the photo.   The Tulip from Spring is in the Air is coloured with Prisma Pencils.  I also did a little highlighting with a Gelly Roll pen.

The background of the above card is a piece of designer paper from my stash (pale yellow with tiny green dots).    I used Olive Archival ink for all the stamping and coloured with Prisma pencils.     The bottom design is from Springtime Edges and the top is from Spring Foliage.     The sentiment is from Mackintosh Sentiments, another great set.   The decoupaged butterflies are from the Spring Fairy Collection.    I added glitter to the top foliage.

Thanks for your visit and have a great day,
Shirley

These are two gorgeous cards, Shirley! As always when someone is showing twoo cards, the viewer has the possibility to pick a favorite. My favorite is the last one. Love the Spring Foliage at the top!!! But I also love the colours on the first card.
So, as I said, these two cards are both gorgeous!

Two stunning cards Shirley and gorgeous colours too. I've tried not to pick a favorite as I do love them both, but the bottom one just has the lead. It's so fresh and springlike and goes so well against the simple backing paper. Hope your weather is improving, it's warming up nicely here at the moment.

The green of the canvas material comes through beautifully subtly with your green matting & those pearls - your colouring of the tulip is quite exquisite, I particularly like the variegated backdrop you gave that panel with lovely hints of warm orange top right. However, the second is my favourite (wonder why my husband thinks I like green??). The way you have made that sentiment panel with the lovely white deckled border & then used the two butterflies to frame it with that lovely touch of orange in the larger one's wings is just wonderful.

Two gorgeous cards Shirley. The first wonderfully zingy with the green of the pearls canvas and green mat which go perfectly, and also that beautifully coloured tulip. The second much softer and calmer colours with lovely glittery catkins and those pretty daffodils. I like the way you have framed the sentiment with the butterflies, and finished with a lovely sheer ribbon. x

I LOVE that tulip on your card, it reminds me that my tulip bulbs are starting to come up and I can't wait until they are in full bloom. Mud season is in full swing here, time for yard clean up. Wouldn't it be nice to have pretty yards and flowers without all the work?
Both your cards are lovely and the butterflies on the second cards are gorgeous.
Happy Spring!

You may not have Spring on the ground just yet, but you certainly do on these 2 beautiful cards. Love the persimmon colors in #1. That is beautiful ribbon and it did show as a very subtle green. Love the colors on your pretty flower, and the white pen sparkled those shades so prettily. #2 is another gorgeous one, with the soft greens & yellows. These 2 cards really showcased these new stamps beautifully. TFS & Hugs

Wow, I really love the colors on your first card! The vibrant orange/orange-red colors are gorgeous! The ribbon you used to show it all off is wonderful! The pearls are perfect with the whole design.

The second card is so beautiful too! The green and yellow images are beautiful against the DP. The butterflies and daffs with that great edge are really so pretty with the touch of deep yellow/orange. Another set I now want!

Hope you will join us for the blog hop on Monday. We are hoping to inspire people to send cards to a little 2 year old and her family. She is receiving chemo for Leukemia and being such a trooper too! Details at top of my blog! Hugs,

These are both lovely with the different colour schemes, I especially like the tulip.
How awful about your weather still being awful, I'm sending heartfelt gardener's sympathies, and I don't expect your crafting assistants like it very much either.
Our garden is still pretty waterlogged and the earth is still very cold.
