Designs by Ryn meets Chocolate Baroque

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well.   We are still buried under mountains of snow, but the sun is getting higher in the sky and it's not as cold.   However it will be some time before we see the ground and plants blooming.   I was envious to see Crocus blooming in photos taken in Europe.

I have a design today using both Chocolate Baroque and Design by Ryn stamps.     As you must know, I love both of these company's designs and finally have combined them together on a card.

Stamps used:
Designs by Ryn - Raindrop Set
Chocolate Baroque - Eccentric Edwardian Set (the man with umbrella & background script) and Words of Inspiration.

TCW Stencil:  Time Travel

The background is Salty Ocean and Mustard Seed Distress Inks using an Acrylic block.    The colours blended creating the green.  I blended Salty Ocean Distress Ink with TCW Time Travel stencil and over stamped with the same ink using a script stamp from Chocolate Baroque's Eccentric Edwardian set.   The rest of the stamping was done with Black Archival ink and highlighted with a white Gellyroll pen.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day
Shirley

This is a great masculine card Shirley, the man with the umbrella works well with Ryn's lovely raindrops, and that lovely bright yellow layer sandwiched between the black tones in so beautifully. The stencil and the script stamp work perfectly too within the background, and the touches of white Gellyroll pen highlight so well. x

What a great colours!!! That's what I first noticed, when I saw your card. Then I read your explanation and yes, you realy made a beautiful and stunning combination of the stamps and the stencil. Love this card, Shirley.
This winter we didn't have any snow and a little bit of frost.
Maybe you can send half of what you had to Holland?? My yellow and purple crocusses are in bloom yet and also others springflowers are blooming already. As much as you long for the flowers, I longed for winter!!

Hi Shirley,
Your card is beautiful and the color combination is great. I find Mustard Seed a difficult color to combine. But you made a lovely combination with Salty Ocean. We have skipped the winter this year, spring just started. The Magnolia tree in the front of our house is already in bloom.
Hugs, Antonia

That's a super creation using Ryn's raindrops for the umbrella man's rain. Your words are perfect & I rather like the yellow glow behind him: sunshine & showers. Actually that is exactly what we have here brilliant sun one moment & a downpour (hail or rain) the next! We do have crocus in bloom here & the tulips are already pushing their leaves through the soil. Take care midst your arctic conditions. The days are lengthening here too.
