Because I Care

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well.

I have card today that was 'quick to make' using Chocolate Baroque's gorgeous new sets Tranquility and Serenity.  I thought this would work for an occasion when you want to cheer someone up or even as a sympathy card.

The background behind the tree and bird was created with alcohol inks on glossy paper.    I stamped the tree and bird from Serenity and sentiment from Pretty Poppies with black Archival Ink.   The second background was created with Seedless Preserves Distress Ink using the Acrylic block technique.  I over stamped with the vine from Tranquility using Seedless Preserves DI.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day,
Shirley

  15. Your black polka dot ribbon compliments the design beautifully especially with your white matting. I love the way your base background brings out the purple colour of the image panel yet has a slight bluish tinge to it too.

  21. Very soothing & serene, both with your layers of colors and also the pretty stamp. I think this would work for so many occasions, and I liked the "Because I care" sentiment...again - very versatile. Gorgeous, as always. TFS & hugs.

  25. Your card is really lovely dear Shirley...the healing purples really speak to me...that three stamp is fabulous too!

Stay warm...they said that it is warmer in Anchorage, Alaska right now than it is here in the Wash DC Metro area and I think you all are even colder!
