Winter Fairy and Snow

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well.  We woke up this morning to a winter wonderland -  we have lots of snow, it's very pretty, but quite early in the season!

I have another fairy design today from Chocolate Baroque's new Winter Fairy Collection and it's starting to snow on her.   I guess fairies don't need warm clothing :)

The beautiful fairy is from January Fairy and the tree is from February Fairy.   I also used the snowflake edge from Winter Edges.  I love how Chocolate Baroque's beautiful stamp sets work so well together.   The designer is very talented.

I used blue design paper from my stash that actually has a wood grain pattern, but I liked the colour for the sky.   I did all the stamping with Rich Cocoa Memento Dye Ink and colouring with Prisma Pencils.  I masked the fairy before stamping the trees and 'ground'.    I stamped the bottom part of the snowflake edge on the ground and coloured it in.   I used puff paint for the snow.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day
Shirley

In my mind this just has to be a wood nymph so your woodgrain paper fits perfectly. As Elaine has already said the brown & blue-aqua background are made for one another. Again your matting & edging of the whole piece reflects this - the white mat picks up the snow beautifully & I love the hint of sparkle on her wings - the translucent effect those wings have is incredible. The touches of green colouring on those trees adds so much to the whole & she really looks like she's sitting in/on a soft mound of moss. Maybe I've stepped into C S Lewis' Narnia!

Another stunning creation Shirley, with these wonderful new fairy stamps. The snow edge stamp looks great at the top, with the snow falling all around.

So pretty Shirley! I love that snowflake stamp, and your little spots of puff paint really pop out of the card. Lovely! Hope you don't get too much snow... I always think it's pretty for a while then it gets mucky and annoying! Keep snug, hugs xxxx

This is enchanting, as though I have stepped inside a fairy tale.
The puff paint for the snow is the most amazing detail.
A most beautiful creation.

So many lovelies on this beautiful card. I'm loving that tree stamp and great use of the blue paper for your textured sky too. It's your 'eye' that sees how all these wonderful CB stamps work together so well, my dear. You did a fabulous job, and this is one super card. We had a phone call from relatives to tell us our Upstate SC community had snow flurries this morning too. It's not hot here either, (windy), but warmer than in SC & I'm happy to be here. Found another lovely Stamp store this morning, so I'm in hog heaven (and feeling poor too! But actually I did better than I usually do in such places, and still managed to get a lot of schtuff!) Hugs & TFS. Stay warm

This is just so beautiful. I think she must be a teenage fairy, the ones here don't seem to wear much even on the coldest day. The way you put together the different stamps is quite awesome (and I think the word is used correctly here). I've probably said this before but I like the way you give us the reference to the actual stamps you use, so that we see just how you use them.
Lucky you having snow.

I cannot imagine snow right now - altho we awoke to frost this morning! I was glad to have covered most of my flowers in the front. Your winter wonderland must look beautiful when it is freshly fallen, SHirley. Is that what your pretty fairy is enjoying? "Bits" of your white wonderfulness in her card? Love the magical snowflakes in the boarder on top. The white certainly makes your colors pop out! Very pretty! hugs, de
