Gothic Angel

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well.

I have another Christmas design today using Chocolate Baroque's beautiful new Gothic Angels set.  This one could probably be used for a non-Christmas card as well.   I added images from Gothic Fragments  that compliment the new set.   The corners are from New England Winter, they matched the foliage on her head piece.   I love how so many of Chocolate Baroque stamp sets compliment each other and give endless possibilities for designs.

I stamped the beautiful 'feisty' angel from the Gothic Angel set with black Stazon Ink.   Both Glenda, owner and Judith, DT member have nicknamed her 'feisty angel' which I think is a good description.  She looks like a strong woman.  I coloured her with Prisma Pencils and used Spellbinder dies to accent her.

I created the background with Evergreen Bough Distress Ink on craft mat spritzed with water and then sprayed a little Teal Dylusions Ink over top (of the cardstock).  I used two fragments from the Gothic Fragments set and the Gothic letters fragment from Gothic Angels with Evergreen Bough & Salty Ocean Distress Inks that were lightly spritzed with water.  The corner flourishes from New England Winter are stamped with black ink.      .

Thanks for stopping by, I'll have more Christmas designs to show this month.
Have a great day
Shirley

Another gorgeous card Shirley, I love the colours you've used. You are right this could be used for other occasions not just Christmas. The flourishes look just right, as you say they match her headress.

Hope you're having a great week.

Good Morning, Shirley! Those Gothic Fragment images are beautiful! I especially like the way you have utilized them in the corners of your card, leaving a "clean" area like a halo on two sides of your pretty Gothic Woman. Lovely colors, and such a determination in the woman's expression. hugs, de

Those corners are striking with her headdress & necklace - I too love that aspect of CB stamps & you've illustrated it beautifully with this sample. Giving her brown hair has really accented the blues & I love the way your lacey matting of the image panel brings out the radial effect of both the snowflake & the halo behind her.

Awesome use of this angel! Love it! Got my CB order today,(pretty fast shipping). Wanted to ask you a couple of questions about how you separate the stamps if you could leave a comment at the blog with your email (I won't publish). Also got a lovely comment from Ryn (oh how flattered am I!). Won the raindrops at the Playground. Have Ryn wish list for some of the others. You are _such_ an enabler, as well as inspiration! TFS & thanks so much for your inspiration too. Hugs

Shirley, no email as yet. If you usd the Hotmail, probably won't get it as I have a high filter set on that account, as it got hacked. Just use it when I need to publish an email add to do something on the internet. I have comment moderation set on at my blog, so if you leave yours there, no one but myself will see it. Also I'm on FB, but again, high security set. Only friends can see me. Are you on FB? Thanks for your help. I can write to CB if necessary to ask my questions!

You have made her stand out so nicely, indeed her brown hair looks great with the turquoise! Excellent background and love how the corners do match her headpiece as you have mentioned, this is terrific! Very well done!
