I have two cards today that feature a flower from the new Punky Flowers set by Chocolate Baroque. This set has so many fun Steampunk flowers but also includes a couple of Deco designs which I love.
The background on the above card was once again created with Dylusions inks. I over-stamped with a texture stamp from Texture Fragments using Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. I stamped the images with Black Stazon Ink. The Deco Corner is from the Steampunk Butterfly & the Sentiment is from Birthday Words.
After stamping the images I removed some of the Dylusions Inks with water (add water with a brush & blot with paper towel). I painted the images with Tom Bow Markers and highlighted with black & white pens I also added liquid pearls.
The card below is a smaller and a rescue from the recycle bin. I used molding paste with TCW Mini Pomegranate stencil. I found the stencil design overpowering and threw it out into the recycle waste bin. Later I had second thoughts so I picked it back out, cropped it, painted over with acrylic paints and decided to create another card with it.
I stamped the image with Stazon and highlighted with a larger tip black pen which makes it stand out and again highlighted with a white pen as well.

Two stunning cards Shirley, I love the yellow background overstamped by the texture stamps and also the second card with the texture paste. I have now used some of the new stamps but not put it together yet.

I had to smile about the recycling bin - I've just done something very similar !! Your colours are absolutely delightful & I absolutely love the way you have framed the first card using those corners. The accenting on both cards with the black & white is beautiful. I particularly like the way that you remove colour using water & your used of greens with the blue contrasting with the black & white looks striking indeed.

Hi Shirley! On the top card, those fancy corners go so well with the Punky Flowers. :) They are meant for each other! By the way, we call our younger daughter Punky. So seeing this stamp makes me smile all the more!
Ah yes the waste bin....it's my "way a minute" bin! As in I didn time an to throw that out or what were we thinking. :) love how you rescued the second card! It's gorgeous. And the first is a beaut! More for my wish list!

Wow! Even your waste bin rejects are awesome!!! Love both of these, and you have been SUCH an inspiration to me with the Dylusions! Can't wait to get my water stamps from Ryn (got notified they are on the way...that was fast!). Looked at the Choc. Baroque stampset you used here. Love that too. Hi, Shirley! So glad you pulled that one paper out of the recycle bin! The textures are WONDERFUL! And the circles inside the circles is so "Mother Nature", isn't it, with her many cycles and these gorgeous "punky" flowers? CB images are the best - very imaginative and fantasy like. Wow two really gorgeous cards! Those Punky Flower stamps are so funky and pretty and they look fun to work with! You made two great cards! The first one is great with the great colours and I love the stamp used in the corners! As someone else said, it frames it all nicely! Beautiful colouring on the flowers!
