Clean & Simple Circles & Waterdroplets

Hello everyone!

I have a few 'Clean & Simple' one layer designs today using stamps by Designs by Ryn .   I realize these are different for me & certainly the opposite of  'Doodles gone wild' :).  However I enjoy the challenge of CAS and admire what talented bloggers create using CAS style.

The first two cards were inspired by a design that Gay created, see post here.     When I saw Gay's circles my mind went immediately to Designs by Ryn's  Circle Cluster set and thought they would look great in a similar design.

I cut circles with a shape cutter in cardstock to use as 'stencils' with Picked Raspberry & Peacock Feathers Distress Inks.  I stamped the two individual circles from Circle Cluster set in the centres & added a little bling in the centres.   I highlighted with a white jellyroll pen.  The fun quote is from Chocolate Baroque's Birthday Words set.

I created this 2nd circle design in different colours and added Ryn's new amazing Waterdroplets 2.      I think this one is also inspired by one of my talented teammate's, (Eileen's Crafty Zone), colourful designs.

On the card above, I used Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink and again Peacock Feathers & Picked Raspberry with the same technique as the first card.    I added Ryn's new Waterdroplets 2, another amazing design.  The fun quote is from Chocolate Baroque's Birthday Words set.

And finally I have one more CAS design using the Waterdroplets again

On the above card I marked off the area that I wanted to ink with pencil lines and then masked the area with cardstock.   I blended Crushed Olive Distress over the area and blended Peeled Paint DI using the Mini Cubist TCW stencil.   I erased the lines and then stamped  Waterdroplets 2 and the quote.  I highlighted the drops with a white pen.    The quote is from Chocolate Baroque's,  Words of Inspirations set.

If you have time, please stop by the blogs of my team mates, listed on my sidebar or visit Design by Ryn's Facebook page for inspiration using her stamps.

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day,
Shirley

A lovely collection of cards Shirley, I love the overlapping circles, and the water droplets of course. This is very different from your usual style, but you do it very well.

Hope you're having a super weekend.

The circles on the first and second card are create designs! The circlecluster stamp is perfect for the first CaS card. And the third card is super-CaS and beautiful! Have a good weekend, Gerrina

I think the last has to be my favourite - it's a combination of your use of both the quadrilateral & circular shapes that does it for me - lovely balance of the curved & linear & I just love your spacing of the droplets extending beyond the sponged strip. That sentiment is rather special too. In the other two it's the layering of the colours to produce another that's so effective & I love your additions of gems - they really make the brain think of the sparkle that is reflected in those water droplets & deftly picked out with your gel pen.

Hey Shirley, It's great to watch you try different styles from your watercolour backgrounds to your doodles and art journaling to your CAS cards. You do all of these styles so well. The compositions in these really stand out to me. Beautifully balanced. Great job with the new set of stamps :)
