Party Lady

Hello Everyone, I hope you are doing well.

I worked on another Art Journal Page recently that I thought I would share.   It  ended up with a lot of molding paste for texture and probably should have been on a canvas board.   I didn't have a plan before starting and because of all the texture I didn't stamp any words.

I used Gesso, Acrylic paints, Acrylic Glaze, Joint Tape, Molding Paste & stencils, Rhinestones for her necklace and some glitter here & there.   I started with some Designer Paper adhered with Mod Podge but you can't see it in the photo.   Oh yes there is a little lace as well !   Her face & hair were coloured/painted with Neocolor Crayons (water based).  When I bought these I went with the 30 set, now wish I had more colours.

Thanks for your visit and have a great day !
Shirley

Yes very easy Sue, use a palette knife, paste and spread it on like it's icing on a cake. Let it dry and paint over it. Cheers, Shirleyx

The textural flowers in the corners really echo the floral embellishments beautifully & I particularly like her striking necklace. I shall have to get myself some of the texture paste & that template, funnily I was looking at it just the other day but resisted adding it to my basket.........

hmmm, are you SURE you painted this? no one else? LOL It's gorgeous, of course. Shirley, after something like this thoroughly dries, is it possible to stamp on something thin, like tissue paper, and then adhere it by brushing it on with watered down glue or mod podge (like some of the people do with candles?) It's a lovely sample. Maybe you can do a sample of 3" and try layering the sentiment on after, just to see how it does? The technique works on rough papier mache! hugs, de
