Leafy Trails with a Rose

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a great weekend.    I would like to welcome a couple of new followers!  Thank you to all of my followers & visitors for making blogging so enjoyable!

I have a card today using one of Chocolate Baroque's new Big Bold Backgrounds -  Leafy Trails.   I've combined it with the single Rose from the Rose & Thistle set.

I stamped & embossed all the images with Gold and painted with my mica water colour paints.   Before I painted,  I blended Tattered Rose Distress Ink around the background.    The ribbon is hand painted silk which is a richer colour than the photo shows.

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day !
Shirley

I sat & just looked, then looked, then looked again for I couldn't quite believe my eyes. I wondered if I'm seeing things or hallucinating......... but..... that bottom leaf on the rose stem, flip it over so you have the leaf point facing right, shift it a little to the right until it lies on top of your upper left wing of the bow; it's an identical match!!!.
I love your use of the Tattered Rose to create that softness for the whole creation & the way the shine of the mica & wet embossing is hightlighted by the sparkle of your ribbon is quite terrific.

Shirley, such an elegant card - just beautiful roses, and your "hint" of a background is gorgeous. The gold embossing contributes to the elegance. What is more timeless than roses and gold? So incredibly pretty!

I love the way you've put the single rose in the forefront and the foliage in the background! A lovely presentation!
