I'm looking forward to Spring, especially when I started 'working' with the gorgeous new stamps launched this month at Chocolate Baroque. There are several new sets & all so beautiful !
I love to garden & get excited when the first flowers from the Spring bulbs pop up. My card features the two Crocus designs from the new Spring is in the Air set. This A5 (half page) set includes a variety of beautiful & detailed designs that are wonderful for colouring.
I used some Basic Grey paper that has very little design and stamped the Crocus over top and coloured using my Prisma Pencils. I also blended a little Distress Ink around the outside of the sheet.
The narrow purple strip is a piece of Dylusions painted paper that was cut off another design (which you will see later). The pretty Crocus with the writing behind was also coloured with my Prisma Pencils. I added a little glitter, blended a little Distress ink around the edges & used a die cut from Spellbinder (S4-202) behind it. "Beauty" is from the wonderful Artistic Expressions set.

I love the way you stamped & coloured onto the patterned paper & your use of black & mauve on this are just beatiful with the warmth of the paper. I love the way you picked that up with your distress inked edges too. One of my favourite flowers - they're just poking their heads up from the soil at present.

PS - your positioning of the sentiment is lovely the way the eye is led down along the swirl onto the focal image.
What a beautiful card Shirley, gorgeous colouring of these wonderful Crocus. When they start to show their heads I feel that spring is on the way, unlike Paula though I not seen any where we live yet.

Your card brings really spring feeling to me. They are early flowering and delight our eyes and noses:-) Love the colors of crocuses and their flavor also of hyacinths.

It;s great how you combined the two different stamps! To me if I think of a crocus I always picture them in this kind of purple... I love the snowdrops in this set. And they are a few days away from opening in our garden! It was dry for half the day, so I was outside this earley afternoon and worked in our garden... Just love to watch the seasons change there! Hi, Shirley! I imagine you can hardly wait to see crocuses popping up in your yard. I am enjoying potted tulips. They don't last very long, but I'm going to refrigerate the bulbs and bring them back out to enjoy them later LOL. The vibrant colors in your card make me sigh. I can almost smell the crocuses. Such a vivid "lavender", and quite striking against the white script background. The antiquing around the edges is really looks great against the backdrop of your masterpiece - so a gorgeous background! You're incredible.
