Fantasy Trees

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.  We've been shoveling out from under a ton of snow, it's very pretty now that it isn't storming and blowing.

I have a card today featuring one of the many tree designs from Chocolate Baroque's beautiful new Fantasy Woodland set.    The number of stamps included in this set provides so many possibilities for designing, I've had a great time 'playing' with them.

I used Dylusions Inks to create the background & stamped the pretty flourish from CB's New England Winter in two of the corners.  'Thanks' is from CB's Pretty Poppies.

I used Pan Pastels (which are not as pale as the photo shows) to colour the flowering trees & the image background.   I added half pearls and rhinestones in the flower centers.   The die used around the image is Spellbinder S5-015.

Here is a look a the fabulous Fantasy Woodland set - the tree designs are whimsical, they are a fantasy!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day,
Shirley

This is lovely Shirley. Gorgeous colours and the CB corner flourishes are always so pretty and provide a beautiful backdrop for their other images. These new trees are really unusual and I bet you're having fun working with them.

Argh, Mr Blogger is being naughty and hasn't published my comment. I will try again, lol!

Your card is absolutely beautiful Shirley. These unusual trees and lovely and I bet you are having such fun playing with them. I love how you coloured the image and your background as always is perfect. CB do some beautiful corner stamps and they are so useful for adding that extra something special to finish off a card.

This is really gorgeous Shirley, I love the vibrant background, then the paleness of the image. This is another set that I have cut out and ready to go, just need the time to get crafting with them.

Hope your snow has stopped now.

The stampset is one I liked for the forms, but wasn't sure what I could do with it. This card is a great inspiration! Love the bright background and the subtile coloring of the trees. ( Seeing this card makes me think that I have to go play with the Panpastels a lot further...) Overhere we had 5 cm of snow overnight, but the bright sun takes a lot of it away again... It is Carnaval here so in a few hours I'll be of traying to make colorfull pics! Have a good sunday, Gerrina

The way you have used the softer purples in the trees echoes the background beautifully & again your matting provides a lovely frame. The positioning of those corner flourishes is terrific with the image panel & like the way our ribbon adds some warm gold to the whole - somehow bringing out the warmth of the purple background. The gems are beautiful on the trees & I particularly like the way they help to emphasize the stylized roundness of the trees.
