A Leaning Lady

Happy Weekend everyone !

I have another Art Journal page to share.   I have no idea why I drew this lady leaning, it wasn't a planned page, I was just 'going with the flow'.

The quote "Listen to the Whispers of your Heart" is from Chocolate Baroque's Artistic Expressions set.   It's such a coincidence that I chose these words as a book I ordered arrived at my door step the very same day I created this page.     In the book the artist talks a lot about listening to the whispers of her heart and what it's trying to say and where it was leading her.

I used Neocolor crayons (water based) to colour her face & hair.  I used the one & only Tattered Angels Glam that I own (it was a gift, she knew I like this colour!) for her blouse.  You can't see the sheen & texture of it on this photo.   I stamped one of the designs from Chocolate Baroque's  Textured Fragment set with Salty Ocean on her blouse over the Glam paint.  I had to use a heat gun to get it to dry over the glaze.

I used acrylic paint on the background, stamped  Sea Bubbles by Design by Ryn with Sepia Versafine Ink around the parameter, it's a new pad which smudged here & there.  I also used several TCW stencils with Distress Inks and with the Frenzied Flower stencil I used blue Inkagold.

Well that's all for today, thanks for stopping by & enjoy your weekend!
Shirley

Superbly put together & she looks right leaning somehow......... The touches of sepia really pick out her hair colour & I love the bright aqua blouse with the CB pattern.

I love all the uses of the masks and fragment stamps, together with Ryn's, they work really well. The lady looks as though she has just popped up from hiding behind some bushes.

Have a great weekend.

Hi teamie, you've been playing with the Shirley colours and I can see you've enjoyed it. It has become a lovely page and sometimes we have to lean.......that's OK......and sometimes it's also good to have a shoulder to lean to.......but going with the flow is always a right thing to do!
warm greet, Mirandaxx

Shirley, you keep astounding me with your beautiful artwork. This leaning girl is marvelous! Her eyes speak volumes. Are they the mirrors of your own dear soul? They are so pretty, deep, and colorfully kind. I also like the soulful gardeny background. xo

Hi Shirley! What a very very gorgeous art journal page again! Wow really love it, so pretty with those amazing colours again, the blues, greens and yellows and the blends! The pretty lady is so neat, and the leaning is a nice touch, gives her a lot of character, she is rising out of the pretty blue flowers and listening ... very nicely made, love those gorgeous soulful eyes! EXCELLENT work, beautiful artwork!
Warm greetings! Marlene :)
