Harlequin Christmas

Hi everyone !  I hope you are having a great week during this busy time of year !

Chocolate Baroque is offering weekly specials and starting today it's for the beautiful Harlequin Christmas set.  This was my first Chocolate Baroque set and I still love it.  I'm posting a card that I recently created using one of the stamps which is definitely non-traditional Christmas colours.

I'm entering this card into the current challenge (#9) over at In the Pink as  Sylvia & Christine's theme is  "Gonna be a PINK Christmas" !

I created the background with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink using the Acrylic Block technique (Simply add DI ink to an acrylic block used for cling stamps and spritz with water and 'smoosh' onto your background.  Keep adding ink until you are happy -  it's fun to combine colours).     I stamped the mistletoe fragment background stamp from the  Pears & Bauble set with Smokey Grey Versafine Ink.  I highlighted the berries with a glitter gel pen.

I stamped the main image from the Harlequin Christmas set with Black Stazon Ink and coloured with my Prisma Pencils.  I added glossy accents to the tops of the buildings.   I also added holograph glitter here & there but hard to see in the photo.

And here are a few 'archived' cards using the Harlequin set.  I posted a couple of these on my blog late last year.

And below is the Harlequin Christmas set:

Thanks for your visit and have a great day !

Superb with the colouring of the little scene with your Prismas & I love the way you highlighted certain parts of the background in white. My favourite from your archives is the bottom one - the way you have echoed the main scene panel with the matching bauble scene is a super piece of designing when matted as you have.
We have icy rain & wet here in the Beacons so hope it's brighter where you are.

Wow Shirley - those colours are delicious and the scene really "pops" from the screen. Your inking technique works wonders on the background, and I love the beautiful roof-tops with the glossy accents. Great work as always, and thank you for joining us again at ITP.

Oooh you have been busy!! All your cards are stunning... but I particularly love the pinkie that you've entered in our challenge. Fab use of the DI's as background... think I may enjoy having a go at that technique.... and I love the main image and the way you've used the glossy accents to highlight.

Thanks for sharing with us at In the Pink... hope to see you here again soon!

Hugs
