A Stylized Tree that is published !

Hello everyone -  I hope your week is going well.   It's snowing here this morning which actually looks pretty.  But it's brrrrrrrrrrrrr cold.

More excitement for me this week !    One of my card designs was published in the Canadian Scrapbookers Basics, Volumne 6, Magazine that was released on December 1st.   This magazine covers stamping techniques by Cathie Allen, it's an excellent reference and my design is printed in the Stamp Smoosh  section.

This is the card using Design by Ryn and Impression Obsession Stamps.

The background was created using Pool & Sugarberry Smooch Inks.  If you would like information on creating Smooch Ink backgrounds, I have a Tutorial at this Post.

I over-stamped the background with the small tree from Ryn's Stylized Tree Set with Colorbox  Boysenberry Pigment ink and then stamped again using Ryn's Snowflakes (hard to see in the photo) with Brilliance Platinum Ink randomly over the background.

The large tree from Ryn's Stylized Tree Set was stamped with Boysenberry and embossed with clear.  I cut it out, blended more Pool Smooch Ink around and created a mat behind it.   Christmas Magic B3585 is from Impression Obsession.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day !
Shirley

Corgatulations again Shirley, you seem to be having a wonderful week. You deserve it, this is a wonderful card, I love the colours, and the tree is beautiful. I feel cold just thinking about your snow, we had a bit of sleet here, but nothing that laid.

Hope your week continues to be a good one.

Hi Shirley, great 'smooshy' background! Is that a proper word, LOL, but I think you understand me.... Congrats on your publication, you deserve it and then more people can enjoy your work! warm greet Mirandaxx

Woooo! Another amazing piece of art from Shirley's Place - just love your vibrant hues and happy colors. The custom background is gorgeous, of course, and I love the tree image! Snowing, huh? BRRRR does not cover it! We are unseasonably warm. It is 5:15 and 70. We hit 79 today. I am NOT complaining. After the hot, humid summer, we love our less humid, cooler months! I took photos of my Christmas cactus to share with you - maybe tomorrow. xox

I'm so tickled for you, Shirley! How marvelous to be published and how wonderful for the magazine, too. They must have been delighted to receive this stunning entry!!

Sounds like you might have a beautiful white Christmas?! I couldn't believe when I heard someone say Christmas is two and a half weeks away. I mean, you know it, right, but sort of like an idiot, you don't really look ahead when you glance at the calendar. (Like a dog won't make eye contact after it's been naughty?) And then someone had to go and put it INTO WORDS. Aaacckk. It can't be that soon ...
